Almost done selecting the squad. It's been tricky and I've had to drop my requirements more than I'd like, which now means the Egypt game is now going to be kind of a playoff for positions. For example, Koa Jansen Vs Steven Dribble for one of the wing spots, they'll both get 45. Who wins? ;p

Although actually as they're both 20 I might leave that particular battle for the game against Slovensko.

Think I've got my core 28 now, just shuffling a little to try and strengthen the defence. Now I just need to add the 12 Future Stars.

I may make a few little changes, I'm still to see if I can get information on Merson Bent and there are a couple of defenders that I'm not convinced by but overall we're set.

Thanks for putting that up. It isn't a surprise to me at all, as I eluded to previously I genuinely have not had a good youth since Freedman who is now 23. :(

I believe Shea Barnes will be an U21 player and I hope to get some better youths soon as may cupboards have been very bare lately.

BR complains about bad luck but I see so many U21 players from his school every year. ;)

Your scouting system obviously needs an overhaul as they aren't doing a very good job at bringing in the fresh players.

If you saw Man U's youths you'd vomit in rage.

There are a couple of clubs who just seem to have the luck with the youth system. Corvin and Harry Lall seem to keep getting them.

I have had awful luck lately, but weirdly I have had some decent youths (potentially only) since rejoining the youth league.

@camus - BR has always had a lot of good youths, I do believe so,e are luckier than others. Padstow also has a lot of lovely youths. I remember there used to be another club that had an amazing profit from youths, he’s gone now and left before the new training system.
