Good luck this weekend mate ;) don't try too hard ;)
Remember you are still building and improving to put your own mark on our U21s...the first few games are always difficult.. but you have this...and you have us all behind you ;)

I've honestly been pretty happy so far. Tactically I feel like we've been the best team in all 3 games and everything has worked in the way it was meant to. We just aren't getting the results we deserve and that's reflected in the shot stats I put up in the association.

I know I'm happy with what you have done so far and I'm sure others feel the same..

You’re doing a good job, and building both involvement of others and a project for the team. ;)

Anyone in the squad (or even top 10) gets updated manually by me on Thursday each week so I'm working with up-to-date players for the NT game. You don't need to post them here if you don't want to ;)

Ah OK thanks, saves me doing it and i'm not doing it for the brag (they aren't that great) ;)

Shea Barnes is improving quickly, only 18 still but hopefully he will be useful from 20 onwards for you.

There's a lot of competition for strikers at 18 years old but he's top of the pile at the moment.

No injuries is a start.
Game is at midday, which surprised me because I could have sworn this was an away game.

Well that's extremely disappointing and I'll take the blame for 80% of it. I'll explain later when I've shaken it off.

Unlucky.... onto the next few weeks

So I'm limited in what I can say publicly because we still have a game to go and I don't want to expose our weaknesses anymore than that game already has.

Ok firstly, hugely disappointing. I expected this game to be the most difficult of the group because tactically I think Colombia are the best team in it but I felt a result was possible if I got our tactics right.

I did not get our tactics right.

Before the game I was concerned about the Colombian strikers and as you can see, I was right to be. I did however expect much better from our defence, who until this game had looked pretty solid. Our formation didn't help them, I'll get to that in a minute.
The performance of our midfield was simply bizarre, moreso if you've seen them previously. Given all the space to work with, especially after the red card, they just decided not to bother. The bombed high passes from deep, never really bothering to get forward. This was certainly not the plan and I don't know why they behaved that way, especially considering they're all in Unearthly or better form. The injury to Wan-Bissaka probably didn't help, we lost an attacking mid who was replaced by a defensive mid.
As far as the strikers, they were just a step too deep but that wouldn't have been a problem had the midfield done their job.

I'll continue this in more depth in the association later.

Nah luck had nothing to do with this one.

You are still getting used to the squad mate ;)

It could be beneficial having a season before your 1st full campaign.. that way you know players and can build a tactic..
