I have never managed to manipulate form of my players.

I would like to believe this is true. But I have had players under the circumstances you described and still collapsing all the way to tragic form. I have one right now, Voda, played first team all the time, same position, been in tragic form for ages, only just lifting it a bit now.
In my opinion, there are no ways you could influence it. It's just random. I had players in low form, got injured, their form rose while not playing at all during the recovery.

I will go even further to say that form doesn't influence performance either. It changes the mark the player gets, that's true. But, I've just mentioned about my superdivine goalkeeper in divine form dropping easy balls and conceding from 30 yards, in my experience, I've had strikers in low form scoring like Inzaghi, and same strikers in divine form missing like Nunez.
I am ready to accept that form has an effect on the performance. I am only talking about my experience.

I do wonder sometimes if form is an loading of the dice as to whether a player will play to their full ability or not. So a superdivine form player will almost certainly (but still not definitely) perform to their best. But at the same time, there is a chance a tragic form player will it's just not as high. Form seems to have more of an impact on strikers than any other player.

Old Evertonians many years ago got there too.

I never passed round 2. But the tournament didn't exist for most of my titles, think would have fared well during my 5 in a row.

I think Sandra Bullock would've liked me if we met back then during your 5 in the row.

I don't believe in form. I don't pick my 11 based on form. And to be honest, who does? I've noticed everyone plays pretty much the same set 11.

Oh, if something is really influencing, is the tactical discipline. Especially if you play something like a high line/offside trap or strikers on the fringe of offside. Anything that involves players' positioning within the tactic. Luckily , TD could be manipulated, the more the players play, the better it gets.
Also, experience is a major factor.

Most of the time you don't have a choice though.

My 2nd striker I've been playing is being picked on form. He's not quite as good as Raheem McMahon but is in much better form and has performed better than he has been despite lower skills (not by loads though).

WTF, when did this come in?!

"Additionally, there is a tax collected on the final sale price of the auction. In the case of this player it will be around 50%".

I overpaid for a veteran striker for end of last season. I know i couldn't list him straight away due to day trading rules, but he agrees to be listed now, then i saw this, full bit is below. 50%!!!

Caution! Placing the player up for sale involves auction fee of 2.5 % of the quoted minimal price. The fee is charged immediately after placing the player up for sale. Players must be listed for a price of at least 1 of your currency, they can not be listed for 0..

Additionally, there is a tax collected on the final sale price of the auction. In the case of this player it will be around 50%

I disagree with that, a players form is everything, Nothis agrees, can't hit a barn door without it, I say marks have absolutely nout to do with results , a out of form striker gets 76 and 78 in form, players marks are wack, form should come into it much more meaning they get much higher points, as you visibly see it on the pitch
Your overall skills , striker passing and defence are much more reliable source than the average marks
who agrees with the gk marks? wack, I think here not having to run around a lot if at all means higher marks!
you can't get everything right, I still love this game although i'm getting beat a lot

As I mentioned I am only talking about my experience and I am ready to accept I might be wrong.

When it comes to strikers, it's interesting, some seem to have the natural skill of putting the ball in the net (like I gave example of Pippo Inzaghi). I had Polson since he was a wee boy. He developed a lot in all skills during the (probably) more than 10 seasons in my team. But he scored from the start, from anywhere on the pitch. No matter the form level, no matter the skill. He just scored.
Another example, Macleod, from my academy. When his skills were low he was actually more accurate in front of the goal than later when he became all divine and all that.
You see this in real football too sometimes. I remember Oliver Bierhoff or Beppe Signori. I'm sure Premier League has a lot of examples too of strikers that didn't look skilled with the ball but they had one skill that made them famous, putting the ball in the net.
2025-01-03 15:10:15
When you had Polson was your overall striking better than when you had Macleod? I'm not saying its this there are other factors like tactic change, or your opponent quality and there tactics and they might have changed when playing them again

It's a very simple game, seriously it's not so deep. Nobody programmed any secret skills or "stories" like "he was better when younger" or "even young without skills he was already playing great".

The game is very simple, it's based on skills, form, random + TD to an extent (vs rival factors & tactic obviously). Random being a very important factor in everything that happens - every ball control, every pass, every dribble, every tackle, every shot etc. are based on random (and other factors). That's why sometimes divine striker in form has 0 goals out of 5 shots, while a very good striker scored 1/1. Because there is a random factor. Over the long run if you give them both 100 similar situations, the one with divine striker will always have a much better scoring ratio (assuming the play vs similar goalkeepers).

There are also other factors, like triggering a handicap, so a much weaker (in terms of skills/performance) teams doesn't get battered. Unfortunately they did the handicap terribly, so it actually manages to "overhelp" and instead of just limiting the score, it makes the much weaker (in performance) team win, because the GK gets a huge bonus to saving while the ATTs get a huge bonus to finishing. Which leads to games with 23:1 in shots sometimes ending as 0:1 etc.

All in all though, this game is really simple.
