in the cup i played ridiculously low players, 1 of which i nearly didn't risk, I'd rather get further in cup, it could have been closer that game too, playing musk for 45 mins was only way of looking like that score, also league means nothing and is nothing to me oh Vienna

You would think from the way you go on, no one else trains any players at all.

If it's any consolation, my 10 AT players add up to the age of 210. Without knowing which players you have in those slots, the youngest they can be by choosing your youngest players from your team is 213.

As much as some people bang on about tactics in this game, player selection and player choices is a big part too.

I know that, also know how bad form my players are, yet gives me absolute top average marks still, and top overalls , hence why al that is rubbish to me now.

*My tactics were spot on i thought, 4 pitched way up in his half, and 3 defenders, like vs the 2 other teams at the bottom, nope i should of gone for 5, and 30 shots

It didn't want to let me get away with playing out of form striker and Laing

Now keepers are worth nothing , the rule where you can have 20-25 shots and no goal, to give lesser teams a chance, needs to be scraped

it always should've been scraped, or at least tweaked not to influence the results so much

look at my last games with Poland - 7 goals (out of 19 shots) scored against rating 77 Nederland, then 2 goals scored (out of 17 shots) against rating 67 Honduras. Ridiculous.

With Germany I've had games with 33 shots and only 3 goals against a very inferior Korea, while I scored 5 against Hellas in quarterfinal and 4 against Romania in the WC final.

I agree the game is really frustrating lately.
But I also admit I might be biased after trying a few tactics lately that failed to produce the magic and left me a bit frustrated. Then again, the game's been like this for a long time. I remember being frustrated before when playing in the Premier.
And considering what Borkos mentioned about NT level, I'm starting to think that the game is losing its correlation with the real football when ratings hit 65+. I'm getting now 65 ratings constantly and yet my players aren't tactically as efficient as they were before. Back in Division 2 I could draw silly tactics and haven't had the issues that I'm having at this level. Could be the opposite team too and the effect that their ratings is having on the game engine. But I'm starting to think it's to do with the ratings. I'm watching some really strange behaviour especially from my goalkeepers in every game. Last night, two goals conceded from two 20 yards headers.

I don't know when they last changed the engine, I left in 2012, but the game seems far more random than it used to be. I used to be able to get consistent performances and results, now I barely recognise my team from one match to another.

The game really struggles once you get past the development stage. Which is probably the best period in the game, the most entertaining and the most challenging in the same time. The fact that players like Tomori (random example but one of the latest) keep their abilities so high for so long after they reach 30 is killing the game. It suffocates the development of younger players and it gives an way too long advantage to the teams playing those sort of players forever. Even when their skills stat dropping, their experience compensates. Managers that come from behind find themselves frustrated in games because a 35 years old is capable to do anything he wants on the pitch. Jumps higher, runs faster and scores better than a player with the same skills but 10 years younger. Or a 33 years old defender is tackling two players at once and goes through the 3rd and then sends a perfect pass along the touch line, while your 23 years old defender, same skills, kicks the ball straight to the opponent striker.
Go on, say it, I have a thing against older players. I do. And I've explained so many times why. But before you say it, think about it. It is the main reason this game is making users go away. Way too many teams have way too many 30+ years old players and their managers even admit they do it because otherwise they wouldn't win leagues.

nope, doesn't work that way

experience/TD has nothing to do with skills / performance depending on skills

experience/TD is responsible only for how the player exectues what he is told in tactic setting, in other words low TD = player will drift out of position (and for example a defender will break the offside line)

the advantage of older players has nothing to do with their experience - their advantage is that you can buy them cheaply and they won't lose their value so drastically as a 26yo

I think the game could benefit from being a bit more logical. Players over 29 should have their maximum pace and stamina reduced every time they age and trainees should start with respectable pace and stamina. Having an entire team 30+ shouldn't be viable.

I agree. It will turn players faster and you will find the joy of training players at all time. There are way too many managers that don't even bother to check their players on Thursday morning. They only check how cheap they can buy old players and win the next game. In my opinion, players should reach their peak at 27 and gradually decrease from there. Above 30 they should seriously show their age. Ok, probably we won't see multiple divine players so often. But isn't this what the real football is all about? If we'd have the same amount of multiple superdivine players in real football, we would have thousands of Messi and Ronaldo. And hundreds of El Classico's every week.
In my opinion, sokker have allowed players to go way to high in their skills. And what's more insulting, to keep those skills until they almost turn 40. This way the game became way too unbalanced and new users will never enjoy it.

Please, read my posts properly. I don't dispute the technical side of the game's software. It's there, I can see it, everyone can see it. But, for once, try to understand what I am actually saying. The game is crap as long as a 36 year old is the fastest and the most powerful on the pitch. And it's not the odd exception, there's thousands of these players in sokker. It's not natural, it's unfair, it's damaging for the entertainment we all look for when we play sokker.
