If you want a literal Messie, then tere was only one, from Lietuva - 5x superdivine [18], best player ever, nobody like him in the history of game, nowadays nobody is even close to him (barely any 5x 17 in the game, literally single digits). So by Messi/Ronaldo standards - that was Miasojedovas, one of a kind in 20 years of this game.

90+ can be the absolute top of generation. It's just scaling/attributing virtual average rating to real-life level, so I don't see what the fuss is about to be honest.

And I wouldn't say Poland has "a couple of those" at all, last game nobody got close to 90+. Against Nederland two players got 90+, but only because they were subbed (being subbed increases the rating a lot), if they played whole game - nobody would get 90 as well.

By the way, Palmer or Rice would be at 70, if you ask me.

at 70 of what? sokker ratings? based on what exactly? why would they be at 70? one of the best / most valued players in the strongest / most powerful league in the world. How do you make them at 70 out of 100?

Won 7-2 at Anfield, missed another penalty too. Both sides had a red card too which means I miss Scholes for my Champs League semi tomorrow.

As if it wasn't enough that there's about 12 ratings difference, my best defender, the left back gets sent off after 25 minutes and opens up that side for 5 out of the 7 goals. And, as per usual, my gk had another nightmare. As I said, this game it's just becoming pointless.

We both had reds but I agree it affected your defence badly and your keeper was beaten fairly easily by the looks of it at times.

Neither do I then, as the striker was divine but in solid form that beat him most of the time.

And not even in one on one but from narrow angles and outside the box headers. Oh, well, nevermind.

The narrow angle ones definitely surprised me. I see a lot of headers low from outside the box go in.
