England - Moldova 3:3
the match ended in a draw, but how angry the first minutes of the game, two nil down, all the tackles won by the opponents, and we missed many goals in front of the goalkeeper, in this match I wanted to create many filtered passes and I succeeded, but our attacks did not score, how angry, thank goodness we got back into the game in the end, but I'm still a little angry, the lack of midfielders today was felt, let's hope we can recover some players, as always, go England

You're a lucky boy to get a result out of that. The 2-man midfield combined with the gaps outside the defensive 3 gave them a huge amount of space to work in and pull everyone out of position. That game is exactly why I hate the 5-2-1-2 because if the opposition know it's coming, it's very easy to get round the sides of it.
You look like you had the better of the game without watching - it's not the worst result imo.
We cut right through the middle of them and they cut right through the width of us. I'm surprised to see the stats in our favour because it certainly didn't feel that way, they were running riot in the first half.
Looks like they played 2 very wide strikers. Not sure where the width came from other than that, unless the tactic graphic isn't accurate?
Their 2 wide central midfielders were operating as hybrid wingers and our midfield 2 couldn't get anywhere near them.
Fair enough, I did wonder about that. I m surprised the defenders couldn't cope though given we had 5 across the field, maybe I will watch it later once home properly.
It was a bad combination of gaps between 2 & 3, 5 & 6 and the defence sitting back. Moldova were either passing right into the gaps in the defence or they were running into high wing positions because the defence was sitting on the penalty area. Our midfield 2 were too narrow to get anywhere near them so they had free reign to attack however they wanted.
The flipside is that is essentially left them with only 1 central midfielder, which is why we tore through the middle of them repeatedly.

partly right Camus, because I thought they also played with the 5,2,1,2 so I widened the full-backs, if I hadn't widened the full-backs they would have had less space, but we can't always be sure of how the opponent can play, the first half was really bad, then we started to feel better on the pitch, in terms of goal opportunities we were more dangerous, they often won the tackles, unlike us
even with two midfielders you can face the three midfielders, I repeat, if I had kept the full-backs tight, I'm almost sure that we would have been better positioned on the pitch. I will have to be more careful in evaluating certain situations.
we were missing a centre-left worthy of that word, I had to adapt, I'm not looking for excuses, but we didn't have the speed of thought, and he kept the ball a bit too much, unlike Saka
They used a fairly unusual formation so you can't have predicted that unless they've used it before. Did you change formation or did they just get tired? They started the game like a rocket but were noticably slower after about 30 minutes.
in the second half, when we were behind, and the tactics changed, on the first tactic, I made some small changes to the midfielders to give them more opportunities to play through balls
At the end of the day this team are 12 in the world if I remember correctly so a draw was not the worst result. :)
