Asunto: »»[U21] Camus - Yesh We Cam. (Season 70)

Right, where do we start? With the last season I guess, even though a lot of it is still up in the air with 1 game to go. Evaluation time!
There were 9 aims for last season and now I'm going to mark my own homework

1. Get out of the World Cup group.
Nope, didn't happen. Horrible group draw, terrible luck with form and injuries. We didn't deserve to lose against Argentina or Turkey but the Colombia game was horrible.
2. Mapping Sokker England
Done, excessively. No-one escapes the net and changing the rankings from age groups to overall gives a picture of the top talent coming through.
3.Scouting Services
I did it but only Thamesmead used it. I guess The Daily Transfer Show counts towards this.
4. U-20 & U-19 Games
9 games out of the season have been U-20, so yeah, job done on that.
5. The Guest Manager
Unfortunately this had to be sacrificed due to switching over the squad and the Druids Cup. I'd like to say it'll return but I don't think it's likely with the World Cup qualifying taking up 10 of 13 games.
6. Helping The New Clubs
I've certainly tried but there haven't been many of them. A couple of them have made some money from selling potential NT players.
7. Ranking Up
This has been my biggest frustration this season. We've been getting much better results recently but progress is slow. We might still climb back into the top 32 but after beating a Top 20 Serbia and only gaining 30 points, I'm not optimistic anymore.
8. Setup for next season.
This has been ongoing since the end of the World Cup and I think it's now starting to pay off. The benefit of switching to U-20 early was that it's given me time to problem-solve the issues we had initially had in that Mexico game. The defence is now relatively settled, moving Keown into midfield has helped enourmously with controlling games and protecting that defence and the strikers (though still wasteful) looked much better once I changed their shape.
9. The Association
It's up and running, it's maybe quieter than I'd like but it's being used by a handful of us.

And a last aim that I didn't add but I spoke about a bit was the Druids Cup. I said I wanted to win it and we're in the final on Saturday. I certainly didn't expect that halfway through the season but we've made ourselves difficult to beat recently.

Next season has 1 aim. Qualify for the World Cup. That's the only thing that matters to me. We've done the building work, now we need results. As long as we don't get a disgusting draw I'm confident we can do it.

only that on your forum they are in blue, and e.g. on the USA forum they are in red, you can't change that :)

and in case of U21 enter [U21]

and you will even have it in red :P

Seems like the World Cup draw is being made before our final game on Saturday, so no chance of getting back into the top 32. This is disappointing.

We need to avoid Belgium, Switzerland and Croatia from that group of 2nd seeds.

Whoever we get you’ll just have to beat them. I am sure you can do it too. ;)

Could have been much worse but the weakness of the lower ranked teams means there's no room for slip ups.

Latvia is who you need to beat realistically. Germany I am sure will be very strong. Looking at the number of users we have we are so incredibly low in the rankings, we really should be so much higher. I still maintain we do not get the quality of juniors that other countries get.
