Asunto: Season 70
II.01 is looking mighty tight this season. 1 point separating the top 5. The other IIs seem to have runaway sides at the top.
3rd win in a row extremely lucky this time hope this trend continues
You had 18 shots to 11, and a rating way over 70. Without watching I would say you edged the match and are far stronger than you are giving yourself credit for?
I had a lot of shots from distance and he had like 2 or 3 one on one situations all of them saved by my keeper in one situation close to the end of the game they even managed to hit the crossbar on an empty goal so far in the season in all my games i had more shots than the opposition the team is quite strong and im still in the cup so i dont have to put so much trainees on the pitch we'll see how it goes when im out of the cup
You can get games like that, we play this week and I am looking forward to testing my team out on yours. :)

Annoying thing about this game (one of them): when the striker is offside but the defender goes to the ball and the striker steals it of him and he's all of a sudden onside. Contrasting to when the defender actually has a full bite at the ball but when it goes to the offside striker, the flag is up.

Anyone noticed they limited the training for a specific position? Or am I the last one to find out? For example: it's impossible to train playmaker for defenders. Or keeper for strikers (I know...). Defenders can only be trained for Passing, Technique, Defending, Pace and Stamina.
That sucks!
That sucks!

Yep I noticed. It's why I'm not a fan of players being trained out of position. Defenders should get playmaking though, that should be a given.
I think it also applies to positional training. So that striker you've got Pace training in defence is getting f*** all Striking on the side.

If you ever need proof this is incorrect you just need to check general training pops on gks. If followed your logic would only ever pop in pace, passing and gk.

I have just noticed that over the last couple of weeks, I have Sherringham who at 25 I believe maybe the best English NT defender? He is now looking like this:
I obviously want to train his PM up asap and passing, finally technique. I have to play him with mid orders now. This is actually completely messing up my training regime for my midfielders too, I have one training in def, and Carlton Davis our best 19 yr old defender last night had to play as an ATT to get pace training. The whole thing is messed up!
Dennis Sheringham, age: 25, height: 176 cm
value: 1 426 200 £, wage: 23 010 £
club: Thamesmead Town FC, country: England
superdivine form, magical tactical discipline
formidable stamina, hopeless keeper
superdivine pace, superdivine defender
incredible technique, solid playmaker
outstanding passing, very good striker

It's possible those random pops are from General training instead of positional. It stands to reason that if you're not allowed to Advance train a keeper in striking, you wouldn't get positional training for them either.
I think the game has messed up personally with that, defenders need PM and so do striker imo. Midfielders need defending too. General training pops in skill that aren't important are ok and make sense, however you should be able to train defenders in PM.

I think they were worried that way too many players with multiple superskills were ruining the game. Which is true. I understand your frustration (in fact, I discovered this because I wanted to train PM on defenders) but, on the other hand, it is making sense. Like I said before, the tactical side of the game is fading away when you play against a VanDijk with Messi skills. I played a lot of games against teams with poor tactics but their super players were enough to compensate and even surpass the tactical difference.
On top of this, their ratings influence the game engine and you find yourself in a situation I mentioned earlier, when the engine is throwing away the tactical advantage with crazy moments in the game when the least rated team's players start making 'mistakes' (stupid passes, red cards, slow pace, holding the ball for too long, missing tackles and so on).
