Plus 2! & i beat a team just above me in the 'rankings'
(even though i don't understand how so many A league teams are ranked higher than their major league counterparts! kind of a joke!!)

my fans are indeed an ambitious (&fickle) bunch!!!!!

Up in the ML we play lots of tough games where we lose some and win some.

When you're in A league and you're leading the division for a couple of seasons, you just climb the rankings because you win so many games and a lot of them by huge margins. When I was in A league I climbed to like 5th overall before promoting because I went like 120-5 in the season or something like that.

i just don't think beating an inferior team should push you up in the rankings just as beating a tough or superior team.. the games should be weighted better so they actually represent something.. otherwise whats the point??

i feel like the fan rating is also based on this overall ranking.. so it skews their interpretation of games played.. a little tuning and we could have smarter fans & rankings that actually represented the strength of the teams.. a bit of an idealist i guess :)

It is setup to work like that I believe. It all depends on how much you beat the team by as well.

So if you beat a team a little bit below you in ranking 6-0, it will probably be worth more than winning 2-1 against a slightly better team.

there's a whole chart that explains it somewhere on the general international sokker forums. Pretty nifty.

Either way, when you're in A league and just crushing through it just happens to boost your ranking a lot. The other thing is that friendlies are also weighed, so when I play my crap team in a friendly against a C league team and only win 3-1, it can actually hurt my ranking.
