Hi USA,
it would be a big honor to be your next U21-Coach.

Why should you vote for a Swiss Manager?
Cause I am really experienced. In the past I coached many Nationalteams, and I always gave my best.
Last 3 years I coached Switzerland. First 2 seasons I had bug success with the U21. We qualified for the World-Cup and passed the Groupe-Stage for the very first time!
Last season I coached the A-team. There I missed the WC... But: We had good results too (4:0 win against the World-Number 1, Romania last week for example).

What do I promise?
Always different tactics, Match-previews and entertainement for the Comunity :)

Last but not least: Few words about me:
I am 26 years old and life in Schaffhausen (where the Rheinfall is...). Since 6 years I work in a radio-station.
One of my hobbies is football. But I always ask me, if I really play football or if its an other sport ;)

Tell me, what are your thoughts on managing a U21 team in general compared to a NT or simply a better selection of players you may have on your own team. What sorts of things do you find the U21 players are able to handle, and what tactics/strategies do they simply fail at?

Hi :)
I had to learn coaching a U21-team. The first 2-3 games with Switzerland U21 were hard.
But then I found a way, to bring the quality on the field.

For me, these are the most important things to create a good U21 tactic:
- compactness (they players can`t run so fast)
- short ways (not too long ways, because the stamina mostly isn`t on the highest level)
- Defender skill (For me, the defender skill is so important, also for the middfielders)
- 2 strikers (I tried few times to play with one striker. And it never worked...)
- Winger only really rarely (the winger has to be strong and then you still need luck to score)

So:
I mostly will play 4-4-2, 5-3-2 or 4-3-3

-> surely the tactics also depend really much on the Players

Our Quali-Group:

1. Italia U21
2. Uruguay U21
3. USA U21
4. Pilipinas U21
5. Sénégal U21
6. Ghana U21

Really hard group...
Italy normaly is too strong. Uruguay has a strong team too.
And: Philippinas are hard to play.
-> I met Italy in the 1/8 Final of the World Cup with Switzerland and lost only 0:1.

So: My taget would be the World-Cup. But it will be hard and really tough Group :)

First target... Before voted

In Switzerland we have around 15-20 votes every single year (direct democracy)...
So I don`t know the fact, that quiet nobody votes in an election ;)

So here I would start working in USA if you elect me.
I would write funny and informative previews for every match.
And: I would start a tip-game
