I can't do much more than that for the team. 17-7 shots and we barely escape with a 2-2 tie somehow. Bit ridiculous and hopefully our luck turns around but hey at least we showed we should be a top tier in this group.

I heard Brand has been having some marital problems...
Just watched the game. Pity, we should have won. Their tactic was kinda bad.
My tips:
- pay more attention to the wings next time. They didn't use real wingers, but still had a couple of runs on the wing (second goal was scored after a cross from our right side). So try to defend it better next time.
- I would place the winger near the sideline all the time (almost). Especially when the ball is on the other side (winger on left side, ball on right side), i would keep him near the line so, in case of a side change (which happens pretty fast sometimes), he would be as far as it gets from the defender.
- I think I saw the strikers near the mid line sometimes, I would place them higher on the pitch (even when we defend).

Their tactic played the wings VERY VERY wide so my strategy was to take the center of the pitch hard and then kick it out to our winger or through ball to the strikers. I thought it worked very well considering we had 17 shots to their 7. Unfortunately, they did sneak in a couple of crosses and their goals were kinda meh in my opinion. Lucky deflection to a runner and what not.
I was essentially willing to give up a couple of crosses to really focus on shutting down the middle and I'm very happy with the result. Like I said, I'll take 17 to 7 shots any day (especially when we had a lot of quality shots). Just didn't fall. They definitely got lucky sneaking away with a tie there and I think we win that game 70% of the time

I see, they use this tactic (or similar one) quite often. That's good, they should drop some points and hopefully we'll beat them in the next game.
Make sure we win the next 2 games against Ghana and Malta, don't underestimate them :)
