Well even though our group stages weren't amazing, we qualified in the MWC and this week we got to play with someone a little more our size!
Observations from the match:
-We were missing 3 of our starting defenders and holy cow did it hurt us badly!! Go watch the first 10 minutes of the match and look at their first 2 goals and see just HOW MANY tackles they break to make that happen. That was the story of day unfortunately as we gave up 3 big goals that often could lead to a sad victory.
-I swear half the game was spent on the sideline with their winger getting throw ins. Killed a lot of the pace of the game but hey it happens.
- Our winger was able to dominate a lot this game, I just wonder what happened during the middle of the game where he suddenly decided to stop taking the ball down the line...
- Offense saved us for sure here. They had great chances and actually put them away. My favorite goal was by Brand (I think #3?) where he hits the post, then shows the most acceleration I've ever seen in the game to get his own rebound and put it back.
Overall, a great result for the boys. Now I hope we can keep this success moving. Rank 29 right now, maybe 28 after ranking changes??
