Asunto: Traveling across the US

Since no one uses the forums I'll post this here for looks but move to freestyle if I'm breaking rules. Going to be travelling to 3 weddings over a 2 week period in about a month's time. Starting in San Francisco (1st wedding) then traveling across the US by train to Denver, Omaha, Chicago, NYC (2nd wedding), then to New Orleans (3rd wedding). I've never been outside of Texas so if there are any recommendations, I'd appreciate it. Of course, I'll research but since some of you guys live in those cities, thought I'd ask first.
Before anyone asks, I love BBQ, own guns, and I don't like Ted Cruz.

it's the USA forums, you can say what ya want!!
Denver is fun, my gf used to live there so I'd visit often.
Go to mellow mushroom downtown and get the Caesar salad pizza. Literaaly my favorite pizza ever and I don't think mellow mushroom is in Texas.
San Francisco I think the beach is obvious. Just gorgeous out there.
No recommendations for Omaha, but it's very pretty!
Never been to Chicago or NYC.
New Orleans was a bit trashy for me and I'm not a huge seafood fan but you have to go get beignets. I went to cafe du monde and my goodness they were way too freaking delicious...
if you stop by Oklahoma at all, come say hi. Maybe I'll teach you a thing or two about sokker tactics ;)

You haven't tried Focaccia di Sofia (add prosciuto), at Serafina restaurant. I love it, that's how I want to die, eating Focaccia di Sofia :)) They have a bunch of locations in Manhattan, I recommend it.
