TakeoverTico [del] para Todos
Hello I created an account like a few months ago, but could not understand the game. I do not understand training, tactics, and which skills benefit which position the most. Any tips for those.

Any other advice for this game would help as well.

Thanks in advance

A good place to start is by reading the "how to play" guide on the menu bar and this thread on the international soccer forum to get a general understanding of the game: https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/1259/ID_topic/2744752/pg/1

This game is difficult to start playing initially as progress is slow and money is tight. Be careful not to overspend on new players, avoid a youth academy for your first few seasons, or stadium upgrades. If your stadium is regularly selling out you can continue to increase ticket prices. The weather has a big effect on attendance.

Tactics
The starting tactics are terrible. There are a few YouTube videos that give some sample tactics. I would suggest copying one of these to start so you can have a decent tactic. Main thing I have heard from more established players is to have 4 or 5 defenders and to always align them in a straight line.

Trainees
1) The younger players train more quickly in trained skills. Therefore if you are buying new players on the transfer market look for players that are <19 yo (later this week all players will age one year with the start of a new season). See which young players generate some interest on the transfer market. Most players that are unsold and receive no bids likely will not be in the game for much longer and will be sacked by their current owner-therefore they are likely not good trainees.
2)Look for well rounded players. For example, if you are looking at defenders I would avoid a player that is really low in pace or passing even though their skill in defending may be very high.
3) Make sure your trainer is unearthly in the skill that you are training. The general skill level of your trainer is less important. I would avoid the starting trainers given to you and look in the transfer market for one as coach recruitment may be costly and based on chance.
4) The higher the players skills or talent relative to players their age the more valuable they are on the transfer market.
5)Attackers and goalkeepers tend to be more expensive on the transfer market in this game, therefore getting good trainees to start may be difficult.

Training
Make sure you schedule friendly matches on a weekly basis as it gives your players more opportunities to play which means more effective training. If a player plays in a match they are eligible for general training (very slow base training in all skills). On the training page, you can select up to 10 players that are eligible for advanced training (you select a specific skill for a more rapid training) and designate their position. The designated player position on this page corresponds to the skill your coach is training for that position group. In order to ensure that the player receives the correct training, they must be that position in the match order otherwise they may train a skill for a different position group. Make sure that your trainer is unearthly in the skill you are training in order to get the maximum training each week.

Players don't have assigned positions when in the youth academy and therefore come out with random skills. Based on the sum of their skills in certain clusters it makes sense to assign them a specific position in your squad. Training their skills will make them more suitable for certain positions and roles.

GK: Pace, Goalkeeping
Def: Pace, Defender, Passing
MID: Pace, technique, passing, playmaking
ATT: Pace, technique, striking

Pace is a common skill for all positions, however it is the slowest to train. If you designate a player as a defender make sure your advanced training is in one of those 3 skills. Otherwise, if you are training striking in a defender it will be far less effective.

Hey, I have a question.

What is the deal with scheduling friendlies? All I see are a couple arcade things? What is that? Am I going to be able to get training like normal?

I just started back up today, got myself a couple good coaches and some young kids. I kinda remember how to play, I just forgot how training worked

Today is Friday and there are friendlies today so you probably won't make any plans for today, check back tomorrow, you should be able to schedule a match for next week and arcade matches are just for fun and possibly testing new tactics, they don't provide training or injury and are only for people who have PLUS

OK, and how do I change my region?

It thinks I'm in Nevada. Not a big deal.

Main thing I am trying to remember is how training works. like, what is the assistant coach do, if anything

The quality of both individual and general training responsibility lies mostly with the main coach. The feature that counts most is his individual skills; his general appraisal does not influence the effectiveness of training. Select a head coach who has a high ability in training the skill you have chosen for the individual training. Decide yourself how important for you, are the other coach abilities and if you can afford to pay more for a better coach.

The assistants may be helpful to the main coach improving his training effectiveness - the better the assistant (in terms of general appraisal); the more he helps the main coach. However, do not hire too many assistants. If you hire more than 3, they will argue, resulting in training being less effective, or even lost.

I think that the region can only be changed by the admin, unfortunately recently a random region is assigned at registration
