Asunto: [NT][U21] Donovan's are coming home

because elite 20 year old goalkeepers can already be approaching superdivine with mediocre pace, and buyers don't care. Even though it is so easy to level GK a trained monkey could do it.
I'm proof, I paid like 5k for Baranyai.

yes, training a GK is easy, at the moment it's the fastest skill to train

problem is that:

a. the cost of main coach increases [gk skills is worth more than other skills and you must have it at unearthly to train GKs]
b. if someone knows what he is doing he will make much, much, much more money on that 1 training slot than what he will have to pay for a already trained GK

in short, you can make more money on this training slot during 1 season of training than you will make on training a GK for a number of seasons until he reaches a "playable" level of pace & GK + you will also save up on your coach wages during those seasons

A is not terribly relevant for the type of sale prices being suggested above. Money for wages isn't an issue here. Especially if you've got an elite main coach with 6-7 unearthly, folks aren't going to throw that away based solely on wages.

B is absolutely true, though. :)

as for A. when you get a coach you make the decision if you plan to train goalkeeper, so indeed you don't "throw away" one, you just get one without GK in the first place :)

and it does make a huge difference in wages spent.

one of my coaches is 7x [16] + [2] goalkeeper, wage = 38 250 $

if he had [16] in gk as well, the wages would be around 60 000 $, so that's about 21 750 $ difference weekly.

one season = 282 750 $, assuming training in ages 17-21 then 5 seasons gives us a difference of 1 413 750 $ which we can deduct from the "training profit"

so yeah, easy training, but the real profit margin is very, very limited

it might change though, if people stop training GKs en masse then the demand can be much higher than supply... and the prices will go up noticeably (or people will just start training GKs for themselves)
