I know, I know, it's been this way forever. Still think I might just intentionally lose next round. I am financially better off with corner friendlies.

Fight for the cup ;-) In the second round you will definitely earn more on tickets.

I think that is a bad idea! If you lose next match you miss out on official match training for your younger trainees and your fans will be really upset. It is 100% worth it unless you are very concerned about injury.

You only got 7830$ just since you played an away match against a bot with a 3100 stadium capacity

I looked back last season at match attendance for the cup matches:

Week 1: Away 29k
Week 2: Away 14.6K
Week 3: Away 3.1K
Quarter Final: Away 13.6K
Semi Final: Away 54.4K

Fortunately it's all shared income from matches otherwise I would have been screwed with all of them being away. No way you can get this type of income from friendlies unless you prefer to play corner tactics to minimize injury risk above $$$ and fan satisfaction. You risk losing a few ranks in fan satisfaction before starting your ML season with a presumably tougher schedule!

way back when I first played this game - 2007-2010....it was the same stupid way.
Smaller team hosts.

Also, friendlies and injuries. Only difference now is that now there are arcade games without injuries, so I just play corner tactics in weekly friendly. It's STILL not great for new users to the game though. Greg and Damian didn't care back then...and Raul doesn't care now.

Well, I'm in the semi-final now. Still no home game lol. More money than a friendly, at least.

Myself, Tad (FC Clover) and Paradiesky are the graduating class of whatever season it was we started. 5 seasons ago now (4 seasons complete)
