since when is pitch maintenance, not connected to pitch condition?? and what is the difference.. particularly to play..

as a dead broke player with all 17 y/o... spending 5k to fix my turf for the last big game of the season.. seems like a total waste.. being that the condition of my turf didn't change at all..??? so what actually changes when you waste that money.. now i can't afford to change my pitch size.. which makes a real difference.. if you actually understand the way tactics work.. but the diff between condition and maintenance.. i am now lost

so we've given up on the TL as a way to play.. have we now given up on tactics too.. are we making this the easy for dummies edition?
I miss the intricate variances and approaches the game used to have! I can only pray they haven't destroyed the tactics portion of the game..!!! unfortunately i won't know for seasons.. as it takes real players to implement real tactics.. and with the short season. seems we are tossing those type of subtleties out the window.. oh well.. i am a fading breed. but a winning one ;) i guess that's enough reason to run me and the rest of us out of the game.. then you & your buddies can actually win! lol

the thing you might need to understand is that there's a cap on the quality of your pitch. With the top pitch option, it's 100%. With yours, I think the cap is 70%.
--> (I may be mistaken, it's been a while since I didn't have the best pitch).

and no, tactics are literally the only way I finish top 5 in ML each season. You don't think I could go up to ML in 5 seasons and succeed because of talent, right? LOL
Because I'm running first gen guys, I can't afford to coast like these other more wealthy and talented teams, and in two seasons my youth school has produced nothing.

My team will never be as talented, it just needs to be close.

as far as market, the new system is more reasonable than you understand. There's tools out there to determine talent, the buying public is a bit more savvy now than it used to be.
The only group this new system harms are already wealthy teams that are able to invest 500k in a talented kid, cater the team training to him for half a season to clean up all of those partial skills, then flip him or far more.

If you buy a kid and he doesn't look talented after 4-5 weeks, and you paid little for him, you're better off just sending him out to pasture. That's what I've done to all but one of my 'graduates' and the one that's left on my team is pretty much on the firing line.

It took a day to update. it's now in top form.. it used to be instant.. and maybe it only took 10 min.. I have no idea. but it did finally improve..

I hear you Islander..
but when you're dead broke and selling soon to be 18 yo's to make money to get players to stay in A league.. the tax hurts me.. the extra fees hamper my ability to compete. you didn't have that when you made your run, so each and every change is making it more difficult as new players.. not sure why you wouldn't wave some of these crazy fees for new players. and if player are more savey .. why do they need to kill all short term trading. a savey buyer or seller wouldn't over pay, or sell under what they are worth.. so I think they are less savey, and need these rules to help protect them from being out played.

And i fire more players than any team ;) the TL is out of balance due to the changes.. and how do you figure out talent on a player that has never played a game??? I usually have to see how they improve over time on the pitch and training. .but you're saying there are tools to that will tell you talent without any on the field experience?? I can tell talent well before I'm allowed to sell a player now. so i just have to keep him or kill him.. even though making an extra 5k or so, is a BIG DEAL at this stage in the game.. I see no reason to levy these type of restrictions. on these points I do disagree..

I believe the more ways you have to play the game, the more players play, and that's what makes if fun! beating other people.. after all we all play under the same rules either way!

And tactics are what makes a winning team! You and I know this... It's a lost art. but with less skilled players (shorter seasons) those impacts are dulled when you're at the top level.

Rock on my friend! hope to see you on the pitch soon!
Cheers
