I am going on record as voting for Andre.

I have watched him closely over the 4 seasons I've been up here. Yes, he's had a top team all the while, but he's achieved the results expected. I've watched him evolve over these seasons and become a more dynamic manager, coming up with various formations (I can't REALLY gameplan for him as easily as I could early on - then again it mattered less my team was so subpar I suppose).

I've also noticed subtle changes in his lineups from game to game both against me and other good sides. He's even won games late this season while actually playing subs this season.

I am 100% convinced he's got the tactical acumen for the position.

Although I can understand the thought process behind wanting a national U21 coach to invest in the team he manages, this really doesn't make a ton of sense to me at the senior level. By age 25/26, if the players are already built well, the odds of them being 'screwed up' are pretty small. As a one cycle U21 coach for Israel I was tasked with trying to rebuild the poorly developed team. As such, I've seen many U21 kids get messed up because they weren't elite talent and rich teams just stash them just to advance train them 9 of 13 weeks (why, I'll never understand). Or they'll do dumb things like having great passing and PM but no pace. By 28? Maybe not a big deal, but for U21? useless. You make zero plays on the balls you don't get to.

The senior NT manager should have one and only one skill - tactical match acumen. Someone who I think is best capable of achieving what is possible with the team he has.

Triglio may not be a poor alternative, I've watched a couple of his linked matches, but nothing stands out to me. When he managed Italy earlier this year, he had a top tier team, beating Brazil largely due to just regular match RNG using conventional formations is not really a crowning achievement to me. His time as Mexico manager, few results were real upsets. His win over Brazil with Mexico is pretty good, until you notice he got 4 goals on 5 shots. RNG is going to RNG, just look at Blue's hilarious relegation.

Do I think Triglio is capable? Yes.

Is it enough to override the selection of the best American manager in the country today? No.
Andre will be committed, as a fellow American he's got a vested interest more than Triglo. Yes, Triglo's promised to buy players - but what if he wins and he doesn't? Then we have the second best manager running the team. Not worth it.
