Asunto: Age at which coaches retire

dennis54 para Todos
was it announced at what age in the future a coach might decide to retire? 50, 60,70 year old. I am just trying to decide if it is worth paying a premium for younger coaches, in their 40s, over older coaches, in their mid 60s.

yeah, in update 69. Pressroom.

I explained this to Habib here: https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/1266/ID_topic/80407/pg/343

Great, Thanks. I remember reading it but did not retain the age.

Coaches who announce their retirement will no longer be put on the transfer list - neither after being fired by the user nor after retirement.
At this age (60), the risk of such a decision is very small but it increases with each passing season, and the chance of continuing after 85 or 90 will already be slim.

How odd as this coach is on the transfer list right now

I agree. There's a 107 year old too. Seems they haven't actually fixed that yet. I do know that if you use coach [edit: recruit page] you will NOT get someone over 60.

I've got one more guy to replace, then I'm refreshed.

it could be that they just sacked those coaches even though they didnt announce retirement? i dont see Koymen

I have two more to replace...in their 60s. I started bidding on younger coaches around week 9, but the prices were extremely high. so I have been now trying to buy a coach and while the prices are about 20% lower, not what I had expected.

Coaches retirement was implemented recently so the market for a new coach is extremely tough now. I’m just using recruit coach form to find a coach that will get me through few seasons, after wealthy managers already replace all their coaching staff the prices will go down.

If they’re in their 60’s and didn’t announce retirement then you don’t really need to replace them right away.

Unless you need a main coach I would just use the coach search. It'll end up saving you money because people are still paying 2-3x what they need to on the open market.

yea it cost me a lot to find a main coach using form - form is worse than youth school lol

Yeah, main coach replacement sucks. I replaced my co-main coach earlier this season, cost me about 500k to get it right.
The other two I replaced with minimal cost. One was brilliant, so ehhh, not a big deal.

Yes, I am going to roll with my 62 year old. From what I understand they announce at a seasons beginning and you still have them for that season.
So I have almost two years with my above 60 coach, if not longer

That is correct.
