Now all you have to do is buy my pull, and then you'll be set! ;)
2006-05-04 12:06:13
I was actually hoping that Rakes would be a PM trainee so I could switch. I'm a bit bored with 5 defender formations. But since he pops every 3.5 weeks or so, and is super talented, I am NOT selling him. I'll have to cross train him a bit in tech and PM and passing, but that's not a problem.

My favorite part of my pulls - an incredible 18 year old and a magical 19 year old. I figured I'd get 20 year olds.... :)
2006-05-04 12:08:01
The incredible is a fair bit better than the magical really.
2006-05-04 14:27:08
It seems like the magical has slightly better secondary stats (e.g. poor stamina). I was surprised to see the value of the incredible was higher than the value of the magical, though.... But I won't complain.

I do wish their passing was at least mediocre. I'll have to really work to get them to be well rounded.
2006-05-04 14:41:44
I'm sure that the magical one has some skills close to poping.
2006-05-04 15:08:23
Probably. He popped every 3.5 weeks, so I wouldn't be surprised to get a run of them. I'm going to sort of wander around in the next 4 weeks to see what I can get him to jump in (pace, tech to start).
2006-05-04 15:23:24
Greenup makes me drool ... and not from old age.
2006-05-04 15:33:11
I don't even know how much he is worth. It is sort of a quirky mix. I like him as a defender (obviously), but if he had any passing, he'd be an excellent defensive PM.

He's actually pretty talented too, although not as much so as Rakes. I'm going to try to get him to excellent pace and toss in a little tech, and then try to decide what to do with him.

Want to buy him? (smile)
2006-05-04 15:34:59
Finally Rakes comes out, and he's a defender.

Both your pulls will cause a lot of trouble. It might take a PK shoot out to knock you out of the cup next season.
2006-05-04 15:41:16
I was hoping that he'd be something else just to change things up. I was sort of sick of 5 defender formations. I think I'll start tossing in some PM training later in the season and using my best PM defenders on offense more. I hate playing turtle, but with what I just pulled I have no choice. (Greenup might be a PM candidate, but he's too good at defending to change over)

PS He DID come out as magical. First in US, I believe. With pops every 3.5 weeks, he should be sick pretty soon. I need to find $$ for a better coach than my current incredible....

Greenup makes me drool ... and not from old age.

Anyone else kinda weirded out that this guy who takes pride (rightfully so) in being one of the oldest (irl) players around is "drooling" over a young boy?

*grin*

I didn't think it was weird. I knew he was talking about the skills of a fictitious sokker player.

Just maybe we spend too much time on this game :-)
