More and more I like the idea I read in one of the forums that ties the highest level a junior came come out with to their age.
18 and below could come out up to excellent in a skill.
19 year olds can come out with a formidable.
20 year olds came come out with an outstanding
21 year olds can come out with an incredible.
And increasing the points a little with each age. A magical 20year old has a couple more points to disperse than a magical 19 year old.
It would add so much to youth schools. The shorter seasons are making good youth so much more expensive.

It could also end up terribly
imagine a 21yo who ends up with [13] incredible in defender and striker or playmaker and striker
it also won't help that much because the main problem is that you can "get" more skills during 1 season of training in club than you can get with 1 season in youth school PLUS the skills that you give via training are exactly the ones that the player needs

Lopsided distribution happens now. That’s no different. Just exaggerated.
I can’t see them going with the shift to training impacting youth skill distribution. Either directed or merely influenced by YS HC.
That would be a much more dramatic change, and that’s not the Devs style.

I don't see the point of this idea. 20-21 year olds will be worth nothing in any scenario. Just like now. Additionally, if I have an 18 year old who comes out excellent, it better be early season to be worth anything, and that assumes good distribution.
My youth school costs me around 750k a season, because I don't keep trash kids in it like virtually everyone seems to. In fact, the ONLY reason I keep enough for youth league is because despite having this 'magical' coach, apparently he can't predict proper talent without match play.

A 20 year old that comes out Magical and is triple Outstanding, instead of 3x excellent, would absolutely be worth something on the market and as a trainee.
As of now, every to-be 21 year old gets thrown in the rubbish bin, no matter their possible level. But if you could pull a triple incredible 21 year old, i think that would be worth holding on to....

oh!
I thought you were talking about level out of school.
Wait, this would require a total recalibration of how many skills a youth could have, since it is presently impossible to have this, even in a divine pull.

Got a 16yo coming out next week. Level 7 now.
Unsure about talent. If pace is high enough I may start training him.

Absolutely. I’m just a little clueless as to what to train him as
if it were me, i would train him as a striker. He is already 19 yo and to make him a decent striker will require just pace/tech/striking.
I'll train pace for now and see what pops first. Might try him at MID and maybe he gets some random pops where he can be a bit of an everything player. Unlikely though since he's already 19 but high pace helps
Yea high pace helps but mid is hardest to train since it requires pace playmaker passing technique and decent def or striking. Curious how it goes.
