Youth coach you want the general appraisal high. So what i do is i set every skill to the level i want it except keeper, who is like solid or good.

Setting a few skills really low will nuke your general appraisal.

Ok.

So it doesnt matter if your Incredible Youth coach's defending skill is only very good, the chances of pulling a developed defender as apose to a developed playmaker is the same? Or would having that defending skill at outstanding made that player even better?

Which leads me to another thing. I think I remember reading that a players skills are not 'distributed' until he his pulled. So would the very good to outstanding difference make a difference?

the specific skills of the youth and assistant coaches are absolutely 100% irrelevant. Only the general appraisal counts. It's the opposite for a main coach.

The very good to outstanding would make him pop more when in the youth squad, of course.

The skills aren't distributed yet, but he'd be a level or so higher, depending on how long he was in your youth squad.

Much of that time was with a mediocre youth coach, tho i now have a nice one.
