Asunto: Hockeyarena question

I've had several players on the u21 team. What i've done is play them in every game from the very first day. Playing them on the power play or penalty kill will get them more exp.
2009-09-30 14:35:23
I'm not sure my team can compete with 2 21 year old centers in Div III, though. They are going to be 300 AI players, but right now are like 150.
2009-09-30 16:24:00
that game is so much more difficult that SK...

I still have my team, but I'm still completely lost on how to play it...
2009-09-30 20:40:46
Bah!

I'm also in Div III, I'm playing with FIVE 20 year olds and a 17 year old. AND I'm in 3rd place.

It can be done.
2009-10-01 15:06:21
Maybe I'll play him out of position, then. I can't see making him my #3 center....
2009-10-01 21:51:57
My 3rd line center is 21 years old 159 AI.
My 4th line center is 20 years old 134 AI.

I just joined sokker again. I played maybe a year ago for about a week and it got too confusing. I am going to try to not quit this time and get a better understanding.

To stay on topic, I have a 20 year old winger and 22 year old center on my 1st line and only PP/PK and have a chance of staying up in II.2 this season.
2009-10-03 08:30:24
welcome back to sokker. Feel free to ask any questions you might have, and if you want a mentor I know some people are willing to help out.
2009-10-03 14:42:47
Thanks. I already asked benmor about getting me a mentor and he said he will me my mentor.
2009-10-03 14:48:47
Two questions: When is the update every night and what are the best things to do with the starting money?
2009-10-03 17:09:43
Also, are the corners on the stadium considered behind goal or along line?
2009-10-04 01:00:20
I believe the corners are considered behind the goal, but I did not check and I am not sure about that.

With your starting money it is usually spent buying players after you sell or drop players that are old or not any good. You usually want to buy young players (<23). Your mentor might choose to say something different, so I would leave it to him.

Training updates every wednesday around midnight EST or 9 PST. That is also when the game updates every other day.

Up to 2nd place.

My best player (295 AI center, 95/35 or so QP, 27 years old) just got an offer of $100m as a free agent, and will ONLY accept a 3 year deal from me. Gotta save some money....
2009-10-20 22:50:33
ok question, I got this player.

Steve Nichols, id 11954150
Age 25 Country USA
Contract 38 days Team Pig Barn
Injury Healthy Quality 100
Salary 194 281 Potential 47
Ability index 309 Loyalty -2
Satisfaction devoted Weeks in team 86

Under Contract it says

Contract - Steve Nichols
This player will become an unrestricted free agent at the age of 27 years

Compensation money for this unrestricted free agent, if he signs a contract with another team:
70% of the highest offer from other teams

This player is devoted in your team he will demand 75% of the highest offer from other teams to stay in your team.

Under loyalty it says

-2 : player will accept contract types 4

4. contract for 210 days, signing bonus 100% of the highest offer from other teams, salary calculated with the standard formula

It will cost me 75% of the highest offer to resign him and 100% of the highest offer as a signing bonus?

Anyone want to ballpark what it will take for me to resign him?
2009-10-20 22:55:37
He's way better than Barney (my 296 guy). I've got a $109m bid in for him. $150m, maybe? He should have an AI of about 340 by the time he's 27, right? And he'll have 6 years left until he starts to deteriorate.

Start saving now.
