That's a reason why I explained the situation in Europe, to illustrate that higher taxes doesn't need to mean a setback in investments or economy.

In the United States there's a lot of poverty, much more than in Europe. Personally I would believe it would be worth it if a great amount of those people living below poverty line would be living above poverty line, even when that does mean that all the rich people in the United States have 10% less money on their bank account.

Communism is about spreading everything evenly, socialism is about spreading wealth in a way that no-one needs to be poor.

I remember Deep Impact and i thought that he was in another of these movies where the world is under attack... Anyway, now he was promoted and is god. :)

When will Europe get its first non-white PM? My guess is a long time.

Do you think this political situation is caused by racial reasons?

NO

In Usa there is a very large percentage of non white people, and racism is (I hope "was" now) a very ravaged problem.

In Europe, instead, there is only a very smallness percentage of non white people and racism is not a big problem, because there is a greater racial integration than Usa (even if there are some racists In Europe too).
This is the only reason

Yeah, there's no racism in italy.

And btw, where exactly was Italy in World War II? On the side of the oppressed minorities?

Racism is everywhere. It's certainly no worse in the USA than in a lot of countries. Focus on yourselves and stop pointing fingers. This thread is a positive one, keep it that way please.

LOL, racism is not a problem in Europe? LMAO. Right.

I can tell you from my own experience that racism is a huge problem in the Netherlands.

Missles aren't the problem. The main problem is that Biden's botox may wear off, causing massive wrinkling in his forehead and mung to build up in the creases.

THAT is a problem.

"In the United States there's a lot of poverty, much more than in Europe."

I think that Europeans frequently don't understand what it means to be "poor" in the U.S.

I wasn't talking about the poverty line so much, as it seems Europeans frequently think that being poor in the U.S. means eating cat food or something. I mean, the poor here get medical care, they get food, they frequently have cable television. Being poor in 2000's America is not like being a Victorian 10 year old coal mine worker in England or anything.

Hey, where's Brazil in your list?! We exist! :p

benmor,
I very much knew where you were coming from....I was just putting some stats for people to consider.
While there IS a good bit of poverty, and in some regions, a great deal, overall it seems that other that France and Belgium, not Western European country is much better than the USA when it comes to poverty rate.
