I dont understand why the attacks on Rumpil. You guys made a thread titled "IS the USA Collapsing?" and he is giving his opinion that he thinks it is and gives reasons for it.
No one counters what he says but attacks him personally?? I dont see any rules saying that the freestyle forum is for ONLY americans? Besides aren't you guys interested in debating the question in the title here? Or do you guys prefer to keep your head in the sand?
2009-03-18 10:08:45
dude, his opinion was that americans were "too lazy to do real work".

clearly offensive.

And no, i don't think any of us are really interested in debating this subject on Sokker. Any of us can get more educated analysis on it by turning on any radio, tv, or computer.

Thanks tho :)

OK thanks for a decent reply.

But since this thread is here posted by another user maybe he would like to hear peoples opinions on sokker?
2009-03-18 10:19:16
i didn't say it wasn't a valid question or something that someone would be interested in.

I was just saying why it is i don't think americans are running to give their opinions on it :)

Anyway, you can get better evaluation from BBC. :)
2009-03-18 10:27:11
yes agreed on that, especially on the Oracle by Max Keiser an American himself. :)

I was thinking that the thread starter wanted opinions of American sokker users aas well as sokker users from other countries.

i was talking about financial crisses and author of crise is really

....that americans were "too lazy to do real work".....

that means, that in USA is a lot of people, which are really lazy to do "real work", so they do just financial speculations.... and this is also problem of crise.

So it was not just my opinion, but real fact. All word know who made this crises. Americans financial "experts" :-) I do not mean, that all americans are lazy, but according to the topic I mentioned these people who are and made this crise.

(sorry of my english (grammar) :-) )

I think that same opinion have many americans, so this is not attack againt you, but against people who are lazy to do real work in USA, and can just made world financial crises. These financial speculants made crise and i belive that you hate them too :-).
2009-03-18 10:55:47
and.... I do not create this topic, you create it!!! I am just reading freestyle topic of various country. And I want to know opinions from sokker players. HAWK.

flarben darger viet narder sie!
2009-03-18 10:57:36
btw, just so you know, most of the investors in the bundled american housing / mortgages bundles were non-americans.
2009-03-18 11:03:29
ok, so problem is made just by people who are lazy to do "real work" in USA (various nationality, no just americans)
2009-03-18 11:08:18
By foreigners buying it they lost money to those who created these derivatives and speculated on it which happens to be American financial guys who ran amok due to the No regulation free market of the American system right?
And those foreign investors who bought into these have "imported" the American problem to their economies I think would be explaining in very summarized terms this crisis.

and system of loans for houses in USA was wrong too:
(sorry of my english, but i hope everybody will understand)

1. today I have house with price 100 000 dollars, i can obtain loan 100 000, wou, super... I take it :-D and spend the loan on consumer goods (i hope i can paid off loan in future :-) )

2. price of my house will get higher to 150 000 dollars, i can obtain next 50 000 dollars loan and spend him for "installments / payments for first loan " , wau, super, i take it again :-)

4. once, price of my house will get down to 110 000 dollars (because real price of house is always 100 000, but financial markets make it more valuable), bank say: "Give us back 40 000 dollars of second loan" but now you have no money and you must bancruptcy.

5. People and goverment say... poor people, we must help them :-) it is not their fault :-D,

People who are taking loans which are overvaluated real price and thinking that they can have money live thier life from nothing are not much clever. I have small loan, because i know, than loans are very dangerous and I think that USA goverment shouldnt help anybody with mortgage problem!

What is your opinion ?
2009-03-18 14:31:21
i have a 300k loan on a 700k house (or at least it was worth that 2 years ago, probably about 615k now), but i'm too lazy to do real work.

That's my opinion.
2009-03-18 14:32:17
i think rumpil is amazing fo knowing that the values would come back down when no-one else did... amazing i say...
2009-03-18 14:34:58
So in your mind the speculators have no culpability to invest in stable items? It's as much their fault as those who created the mortgage bundles in the first place.

If i sell you something that's worthless, and you pay a lot of money on it, it's as much your fault as my fault, if not more.

And, btw, how much regulation of the mortgage/banking systmes are there in other countries? I'd doubt much more than the USA. It's just because the USA has historically had stability in housing market and is very popular as an investment that this problem was realized here instead of other countries.

Easy to point at america because our economy failed and it spilled over, but no one forced your countries to invest here, nor do your governments have such better controls (on the whole, obviously one country may do better than another).
