Asunto: Why I hate Hattrick!

2007-07-11 19:50:47
the benmor school of diplomacy...I love it!
2007-07-15 07:39:43
Just read the last two editorials over at the oHTer game.As for the reason for the economic collapse all I have to say is duh!.....They didn't need to go to have an economic study done (which I am more than a little dubious even occurred) to figure out how they screwed the economy up....As for their slap dash band aid fix its.........well whoop dee effing doo!....Honestly,anyone that pays for HT is a born sucker, the devs make a decent living off of this game of chance/economic sim(Hah! that's a laugh,It makes me think of Rodney Dangerfield's "Back in School " movie classroom scenes) and give their subscribers bupkiss in return.............I'm just jealous I didn't think of it first.

I didn't get the drop in wages. The problem is witht he HIGH wages, not fixable by a tiny flat drop...

I guess they're doing trickle up economics... Lol.
2007-07-15 15:30:30
I think the flat drop in wages will help the newer teams. Shouldnt affect established teams much.
2007-07-15 16:00:14
They could care less about the established teams. All they are worried about is maintaining their user base, which consist mainly consists of these lower level teams who recently started. The lose of established teams in levels V and higher is a drop in the bucket compared to maintaining the number of dimwitted users in VI and lower.

Remember a full VI level (or lower level) in a countries is over 8k users while a full I-V level in a country is only 2k+ users.

The game experience is secondary to the HT's desire to keep the user base, and paying supporters, as high as possible.

that's a great point, actually

In fact, turnover at the top actually HELPS the finances of an established game, because otherwise, if the rich were able to continue to get richer, the gap in skills wouldn't ever be beatable and there'd be VERY little room for promotion past a certain point.
2007-07-15 16:13:53
And now we all understand why wages are so high.
2007-07-15 16:21:49
That desire to have turnover at the top was actually mentioned to me once by one of the GM's from netherlands who was my friend.
2007-07-15 16:36:48
When they first expanded countries over 30k they mentioned they were going to do some things to create turnover at the top so new users had "somewhat" of a chance to make reach the upper levels.
2007-07-15 16:37:54
from a business standpoint it totally makes sense, and they clearly run it as a business.
2007-07-15 16:38:10
hey I just went over the 4 year mark. :/
2007-07-15 16:42:16
anyone know why they reset supporters? frustrating.....
2007-07-15 16:46:31
What do you mean by "reset" supporters?

Their mood? That is done at the changeover of every new season. It's a new season and your supporters have forgotten about the previous season already.
2007-07-15 16:50:24
I know, its just frustrating.....

Last week:
Sponsors 196 981

This week:
Sponsors 135 866
2007-07-15 16:54:30
I just promoted to IV. Would have thought I would see a leveling off of my sponsor money this week, especially with the 10K bonus (although I dont think we see that until next week once the changes are implemented during the shutdown on Monday).

Last week (V money):
127,515

This week (IV Money):
106,826

Even with the 10K bonus, I still don't match it.
2007-07-15 17:00:26
both of mine are D3, and I actually gained supporters this week. :(
