Asunto: Why I hate Hattrick!

2007-07-15 17:00:26
both of mine are D3, and I actually gained supporters this week. :(
2007-07-15 17:07:22
Remember, I got a 10% boost to my supporters (roughly gained 230 supporters) for promoting.

With sponsor money being so closely tied to sponsor/supporter mood, this type of behavior is inevitable, unfortunately.
2007-07-15 17:09:20
oops forgot about your 10% boost.

what guacamole says makes total sense. If I'm running a game, I'm not worried about long time players. Those players, by and large, won't quit because its hard for people to give up on a team they've invested a ton in over years.

They figure you're all their bitches one way or the other.
2007-07-16 15:07:40
This bitch is about to be neutered. I think I'm going to sell off my players and buy kiddies to train. And I'll either let the team die or start over when my kids are fun again.
2007-07-16 20:54:51
Don't let your team die, go out in a blaze of sokker-propoganda glory.

guacamole +1

like the Joker said, if you're gonna go...go with a smile :)

I just got banned from HT again, less than a day after receiving my team.
2007-07-28 07:54:29
Congratulations!

Benmor The Baninated
2007-07-28 19:34:31
What did you get banned for this time? Make a veiled reference to a GM? Disagree with the new rule changes, or the rules changing every season? Or just whisper the name Bjorn...

I opened a thread called "Rank the US staff" where I said that the person who gave the best reason for hating a US staff member would get three months of supporter.

so...the benmor school of diplomacy really works!

ROFL!

Go figure this one out...

Skills on HT go titanic and then extra-terrestrial...

That's also where the huge bump in wages comes in (titanic is pretty affordable to a good team, but you have to be careful with too many players who are ET)...

anyway... Silly me who doesn't pay much attn there played my normal starting goalie in a friendly and he got hurt (injury length would probably have been about 4 weeks - it's not as predictable there with injuries)... My backup is HORRID.

So i notice that this starting goalie is 26 and realize i have to dump him sooner or later, so may as well do it now. Skills start to degrade at 27 or so... And i am not fond of keeping players till they become worthless on the market...

This 26 year old titanic keeper with a 4-5 week injury i sell for 1,897,000 dollars.

I figure i need a better keeper, so i upgrade to ET, and buy a 21 year old... FOR 1.9M DOLLARS.

Yes, 3k more for a player who's significantly better and 5 years younger (still quite trainable, not that i'll train him at all). Oh, and the new player wasn't injured for 4-5 weeks, LOL. Single skills at HT, remember, so keeper skill is all that matters.

Lolz.
