i'm only 18, i hear i'm ok.
2008-01-08 21:56:38
thats the key, training efficiency. You have it easy being you control the training...but for most of us, its a challenge doing it as best we can.
2008-01-08 21:56:56
Some players think otherwise ;p But ok, ill still make it xD
2008-01-08 22:42:36
Guac who are you?
2008-01-08 22:45:32
I'm confident I'll make the U-18 team.

Islander isn't the only U21 Assistant Coach here. I'm there other :D

Edit: Forma, I'd have to agree you need Tech. You'd definitely benefit from having tackling higher than 1 and since getting stamina up a bit wouldn't hurt either since wings tend to get hit hard in the fitness lose department

You're in a sort of similar situation to my player. Not good enough for NT and your 21 years old. It also doesn't help either of us that U21 is going work at developing our young talent at 19 and 20 years old to get them ready for future seasons after this weird one (with everyone one available for U21) is over.
2008-01-09 01:30:14
no kidding. I need to bookmark you then ;)

Don't get me wrong, we're going to use some 21 year olds in the lineup for Cup matches...but right now our focus is 19 and 20 year olds.

I spent half my day breaking down all the defenders in the US worthy, ranking them, etc.

Gonna do forwards tomorrow and Thursday. I told Clifford he needs to let garybanana give him inshgt on midfielders - I know nothing about them in footstar, and defenders and forwards are enough player scouting for me ;)

am i good enough to play for the NT in the future? am i doing the right training? what should i train?

i have absolutely no idea what i'm doing there ;)

honest opinion? No.

Your training efficiency is pretty bad. I have as many skill pops as you, and I'm not even 20 yet

Sorry :(
2008-01-09 03:19:17
what should i be training?
2008-01-09 03:24:29
you should be training primarily whatever your team does, especially as a midfielder. Many teams have a training itenary which is beneficial to midfielders.

Also, always keep your fitness pretty high, I'd never let it drop below 70% ever. I tend to keep mine above 80%. The lower your fitness, the less you get out of any training.

Additionally, never train two things the same day. You get better training if you use all three slots of a day on the same training.

as far as midfield specifics...I'm blissfully ignorant of such things. I'm handling basically the defense and forwards on the team.

Your an MR which isn't a position I'm quite as familiar with as MC (and relatedly AMC and DMC). But I'll do what I can.

First off, your fitness is at 59% which is no good. You start getting penalties to training at 70% so you want to do what you can to not let it drop below that. Also your adaptability is only at 11% so your going to have a big penalty to how you perform in games, your going to need help from your teammates using the 'tell about Uruguay' interaction.

Your Tech, Dribbling, and speed are all good. Crosses is a sort of bread and butter skill of wingers that you may want to get higher (my guess is 15-18 ). You should probably look into getting short passes up a little bit as well since you won't always be in a situation where you have to cross the ball. Tackling also is helpful since you'll be guarding other wingers and will want to steal the ball from them and you have 0 in tackling...

The biggest thing that you skills scream at me about is you 1 in positioning. The skill is fairly important to a midfielder since it is what causes you to react quicker to your team playing more of an attack or defense at any moment and also, very importantly, this is the speed of your player off the ball (your speed skill only matters when you have the ball our you're chasing the ball carries).

Edit: Islander is right, train with the team whenever you can. As a midfielder this is pretty easy normally. Save times when the team is training something useless to you like GK skills to train extra stuff like positoning. And train all the slots a day as the same thing if you can for the bonus training, even fitness gets a bonus
