Asunto: Competition Time

Well it's back again. Same concept, different rules along with a new format.
Basically this time it's going to be done to test and improve your knowledge of the national team as well as a bit of domestic Sokker history also.
This season, every 5 or 6 days either Achmid or myself will post up a question. This might be in the form of a who am I approach or it could be in the form of a challenging question.
Along with this, there will be a clue given to assist in answering the question. Every day after the initial question was posted another clue will be added upto a maximum of 5 clues.
The idea is to send a skmail, preferably to myself your answer when you think you know it. You'll get a certain number of points based upon how many clues it took before you answered it and how many attempts you took to answer it and whether your answer was correct.
Hopefully it's a bit of fun and we get a decent turnout. The top 11 at the end of the competition will get to select a player of their choice for a competition game later in the season.
For those interested, the point system has been planned as follows.
5 points - Correct answer first attempt
3 points - Correct answer second attempt
1 point - Correct answer third attempt
There will also be bonus points awarded for correctly answering the question with fewer clues.
5 points - 1 clue used
4 points - 2 clues used
3 points - 3 clues used
2 points - 4 clues used
1 point - 5 clues used
Think that's all that needs to be explained, I'll reply to everyone stating whether they are correct or not and the clues will keep ticking over until the final clue has been released, and then the next time we update it will be a new question.
Not sure how this will go, but it's something worth trying. Users from other countries may participate in this also if they read our forum.
Progress of scores will be updated at the completion of each question, and please for an equal competition and fairness to others don't collude :).
I'll let Achmid post up the first question, as it then allows for the case one of us is unable to post the next clue for the other to and keep it neat and in the one place.
Any questions feel free to post them here.

Ok the first Question is a Who am I.
As cometer said more clues will be given each day.
Clues
1. I’ve played for the Australian national team since I was 20 but have never been fortunate enough to find the back of the net
2. I have only ever played an official match for the one club, in which time, I was rated best on ground during our most important match (Up at 15:20 2007-12-06)
3. My philosophy is that form is the key to success (Up at 15:29 2007-12-07)
4. I was red carded in my debut match for Australia, a problem which has plagued me ever since, recently seeing me sent off after just 1 minute of being on the field (Up at 15:34 2007-12-08)
5. This is my 8th season playing for the Australian National Team in which time I have seen names such as Amien, Ozbey and Campbell come and go whilst I continued to succeed. (Up at 15:27 2007-12-09)

makes you have to do some research or get incredibly lucky to get the maximum points :p. The clues do get easier and make the answer more obvious as they get added.
but there are few 20yo when-got-a-debut and never scored :p

Well it depends how many you want to sacrifice points wise. Maximum of 3 guesses. But point maximisation might suggest that if you get it wrong now and right 2nd time before a 2nd clue you get 8 pts, but you could get 9 points for waiting one day for an extra clue and getting it correct first time. Also you can make your attempts at any stage during the time the question is active.
Hm..I guess that I'll have to read all rules anyway as it looks quite difficult :p

It's meant to be a little challenging, especially when you only have 1 clue to work with, but I think the only real confusing part might be the point system and that it does get easier with the more clues given as it narrows the field down. This is just something different to try so that competitions don't become boring and repetitive.
nah, I've just only finished my studies for today[I mean - lectures etc., still have to read 'few' pages and do homework...] so I'm kinda alergic on reading for a moment :P

probably should mention in case others are wondering, that this player has not found the back of the net for the national team and has absolutely nothing to do with club matches. That might clear up any confusion or wrong interpretations.
Looks like a good idea to me. Can you please inform us when the answer has been found though?
