naphtali [del] para Todos
Okay I'm trying to work out some of the formulae they use for crowd attendance and I need some help from people that aren't selling out their stadium.

Info I need is

Total attendance
actual standing attendance (+ total standing places)
actual terraces attendance (total terraces)
actual benches attendance (total benches)
actual seats attendance (total seats)

With some more data I should be able to reverse engineer how many spectators will upgrade their ticket if they can't get the seat they want.

All help appreciated,

Naph

"all help appreciated"...

I have a list of 25 stadiums from Oz (A-L, +top 3-4 of each D2) which gives you capacity, detailed stands, maintenance and max income.
I think you could use it in the long run once you've work out a model...

wouldn't you also need supporter mood for this, because that plays a rather large part. For example, I sell out frequently when my supporter mood is at the top, but only sell around 24-25k when my supporter mood is around the middle.

Other than that, you should only get people with data when their mood is a certain level, to be able to kind of eliminate that variable.

I'm not actually trying to work out total attendance. I'm trying to work out the ratios that fans buy seats (and in the case of not having seats they want, how many upgrade, and how many don't bother)

If you sell out your stadium then I have no way of knowing how many would have turned up. Its when you don't sell out your stadium that I can at least attempt to work out how many fans wanted which type of ticket etc.

Yeah ok, with you now :).

If you need any help matew, ask me anything about Sokker (or real life) and I will tell you the honest answer. Being one of the true good guys in Sokker, I would tell you my whole teams skills and sexual preferences :D

3 5 8

1: 100 standind
2: 2389 benches
3: 100 standing
4: 1779 seats
5: 525 benches
6: 100 standing
7: 1314 benches
8: 100 standing

ticket income... a low and hurting 64908$

Team Moose Power... they have the best maximised sell out stadium of the combined A-league and Div II :) (10.14$/seat)

with all this "research" going on, I ave decided to "complete" my stadium with my excess funds, which may just help with a controlled experiment.

My supporters are almost always madly in love with my club, I now have one big members stand with roofed seats, and a normal seats stadium, plus a bunch of benches. The only way I could add to it is if I had terraces but as I didnt have terraces anywhere I wasnt going to disassemble seats
2007-12-09 15:30:56
Wow, you had a little cash lying around, eh?
2007-12-09 16:10:15
ha still do, the smart thing would be to invest it, but I figure this is better for the short time period with the research that is going on, and this can help more people this way
2007-12-09 16:12:36
of course the roofed seats may be useful in getting mroe attendence but the extra benches wont do anything
2007-12-09 23:52:59
your new maintenance bill is 57600$ and an income from a sell out would be 528000$!
It makes you jump from 7th to 2nd behind TMP at 9.80$/seat in sell-out condition.

We should move to a different topic cause that's "polluting" Naphtali's one... I'll go and create one in Newbie
