The only bit I'm not clear on is whether you get a point for tipping the correct margin, but not the correct result. I'm guessing not.

Not. Additional points only apply after the correct result is tipped.

Unfortunately it was too late. Some may view that as harsh being 2mins late. But a line in the sand has to be drawn, and if I let someone tip 2mins late then someone will whinge when they are 5mins late etc.

damn... should have listened to you and not been tempted by the devil... your game was the only one I didnt score a point on!

Wow, I do consider that harsh. Not only because I had not seen any of the games (infact none had yet started), but also because it's not in the spirit of a friendly tipping comp with no prize and therefore no incentive to cheat (although we've already established it wasn't possible to gain an advantage from being 2mins late).

Although I don't really care about the points - you guys could use the head start ;) - it's not a very inclusive policy which is what this comp is all about.

No biggie. Roll on Rd2.

I actually laughed when i saw the tips because I thought you must have realised you were late and after the games said the correct score as you got my score right.

But then found out it was legit tips just a couple of mins late

yeh he sure did. whatever happens happens...but if anyone else does it...:P

well let's just say it was the only exception to the rule :)
