Asunto: Australia Cup - Reactions

Yeah here we go again!
(the excitement might be slightly enhanced by this one game/week period...)
Nothing tricky this 1st round for most of us I guess...

It might be to early but anyone to predict a succesor to Tribe? (if not himself)

You should set up a small list of top ten favourites and who you think will win and why ;)

i don't think the list would reach 10 members, there's too much of a gap between divisions I think (only one team promoting to A-League this season...)

But here's one to start:
1-TBF (clearly the on form team these last weeks imo)
2-Roar (I believe finishing controversially 2nd in the A-L has made him more hungry than gutted)
3-Comets (always there at the end!)
4-Tribe (he won it once, hence knows the ropes)
5- Chelsea (hate the name, love the color, outsider)

I will be trying to stop all these predictions.

Out of all 5 teams, im confident I can beat 2 fairly regularly, another 2 always have close games, and the other, Im having a bit of a bad run against.

But I am happy to be an underdog again :D

well over 20 by TBF, can't remember exactly what though.

I might say my favourites too. If more people do it, we can keep a tally to see who the real favourties are.

1 - TBF
2 - PRT
3 - Roar
4 - Comets
5 - Achmids Soul

I didnt mean to put these as the top 5 from A-League last season, but I think they are the most likely to win it.

I think Tribe always puts up a fight in big matches, and can beat any team, FCM were a bit out of form last season, and that may continue, Chelsea have a lot to prove in A-League, and maybe next season I will put them in the top 5.

As far as div 2 teams go, GG could pull off an upset against any of the top teams, TG will struggle against the comets and roar but could beat any other team, Jyu, Im not really sure how much time he puts in the game, KC haven't changed their tactic in how long? I think that will not favour them, TMP will be a bigger threat in a season or two when they have better players, BS have no hope but will help knock out weak teams and Frogs will put up a fight, but got nailed by both tribe and chelsea over the past two seasons so could struggle in the later rounds.
FdB is the only other team I didn't mention, and I think, if they cant regularly beat KC who don't change their tactic, they probably wont be able to beat them if they play them in the cup either

I won't consider FCM and PRT as favourites the comming season due to how little time we spend here now compared to earlier.

But we might come far on old tactics :p

Don't like my chances of repeating as I'm currently planning on training a full complement of players in pace. My 2nd 11 currently bites (its not even 11 players yet for starters), and I don't think I'll be able to generate anywhere near enough funds to make it competitive enough even with some creative juggling between league and cup.

I'm not gonna make one to please everyone but just to start the debate and give this forum a bit more life...

on the me, myself and I front I hope to reach Rd3 this season and may be pushing it to Rd4...

I think the lists are quite interessting to see. :) And I do not consider myself as a favourite. Maybe last season where I made a fool of myself, but this season... no.
