Roar are planning on doing the same thing as The_Comets to be honest :P

Tribe's lineup will look an awful lot like today's lineup.... That said I'm not sure how much longer I can justify keeping O'Neill on the bench after he pulled a 60 today.

yeah for the state cup, i will have a very similar lineup to today, as that is now my '2nd XI' as i am training defence. Although i did forget to play pucaru today, and i haven't decided who will be my 2nd goalie yet.

somehow... with your big wages... I think D2 and D3 B teams are pretty close to your AL reserves... I wouldnt write anyone off just yet...

yeah thats it, you hear A-League teams complaining about losing with their second teams, but i'm pretty sure a lot of the teams they are gettini knocked off by are using second teams too.

Especially in the state cup

Well, managed 10 shots to 5 against Achmid today and had some good chances but they were just too good at finishing. 2 goals from 5 shots and 1 from a pass.
A bit disappointing to go down after my team played the best I've seen them play, but considering it was my #1 team (without my star mid) against a #2 10-man Achmids Soul (red-carded striker), it highlights the weaknesses in my team.

Oh well, I'll be back next season to rattle the cage again. Congrats to those through to the quarters. Expecting some good games from here on in.

to be fair, only 5 of those were 2nd string players as I am training defence, and as Im at a library computer now, I got to watch the game and you put up a great fight.

I definitely look forward to playing you again, it seems like your team has come a long way for sure. Who knows, we may see you in A-League next season :)

interesting match ups. Is this Froggies pay back campaign on the back of drawing Tribe and Roar, two of the 3 teams that have prevented Froggies from finishing 1st in II.04 ;).

In the other games, the Bears get stuck with TBF. I think TBF are going all the way atm they look to be too strong but stranger things have happened.

Losers to take on Achmids in a II.01 and ex II.01 showdown. Promises to be a pretty close match, just depends on whether Achmid decides to risk going in with defense trainees or not.

Final game is between Chelsea and FCM. Gives Chelsea a chance to rectify the A League match where statistically they were stronger, but lost the match.

Some very interesting matches there. I would think that all the A League teams would win, and the only left hand side team to get up will be Chelsea but I wouldn't be surprised if Frogmeisters and Losers put up good fights in their respective matches.

Bit disappointed to lose after I probably deserved the win. Not too upset though, I mean I knew FM would play their 1st XI so my decision to play my 2nd XI midfield was probably a reflection of the fact that I wasn't too concerned.

Looks like TBF were lucky to scrape through while FCM destroyed Chelsea's 2nds and Achmid won comfortably.

Yeah, watched the match live and thought you matched it with them. A little unlucky to go down in penalties but when you get that far it really turns into a lottery.

Two injuries and a suspension on the weekend killed whatever small chance i had.
2008-03-20 04:33:07
yeh you were slightly worse off then me

I had one injury and a suspension (too my top two midfielders)

But Im certainly happy to go through

Yup. League far more important than cup this season and my monkeys were well outplayed!

I didnt even look at your side. It was a good win. All the best for the remaining rounds.

thanks mate.

Yeh i remmebered that you had someone out but didnt change my tactic accordingly, i just wanted a tactic with decent attacking opportunites that could cover your wingers

Just watched the match, and my players had a good and welldeserved win there. That first goal by my team was incredibly lucky and almost wrong though.

Anyway the other two goals were fair, the play leading up to the 3rd goal was certainly interesting
