Lol, ouch for NZ Knights! :P
2008-02-10 12:42:15
lmao what are they doing all the way in Australia??!

Edit: I guess I'll be aiming to do well in the league, over the cup. I have to win my four league games at least.

Soon the cup starts again, and I've got my list as well. ;)

Favorites:
- The Comtes - always gotta place them in the top. Become so much better tactically after the seasons as national manager. Not the best team, but a sound defensive tactic and Augerinios at top will make them favorites in most games.

- The Black Flashes - the best team on paper, but not in games. Got alot of work that can be done with tactics still, but count them in.

- Tribe - a team I just cannot hate. Attacking fun football as base, but defense that is sacrificed most of the time for attacking options. Struggles when they don't control the midfield.

- Chelsea - formed their tactics like many others with a 4-4-2, and they play it well. They have got 11 strong players, miss the big guns it seems but hard to break. They will have a great season!

- FCM Tigers - a clear favorite, but only if he can find the time... and I don't think he will. If he had he would be the big favorite in my eyes.

As for me, i'm not a favourite and will not come far. I've sold my whole defence, some middies and Fagnani is also gone now. Young team, but they are for the future and not the present. Roar did great but failed in the last part of the season... struggles to change their setup when times are bad, Achmid can do so much with their team but always seems to get a hard time when they should take that extra step up...

I don't think anyone outside the a-league will win. There are good teams there, but not good enough to have the luck to beat the lot.

Problem was I lost my plus for the last part of the season so I figured it was better to go into games with a tactic that worked for me. The other problem there was that I was missing alot of key players and, quite simply, my depth last season was absolutely shocking. So it was quite difficult for me to come up with too much. Add to that it was around the Christmas period so I was struggling to get much time for Sokker.

Looks like a great analysis of the teams.

So far the comets and TBF seem to be in all the favourites

Good to get a new season going! :)

Looking forward to it even if it will be the worst season for PRT and my friend TigerTUFF.

Something wrong with my strikers I think...

Shots 49 - goals 12.

49 shots?? should have scored heaps then.
2008-02-13 12:23:58
Yeah, I was only 16 of 44. Some absolutely criminal misses (Including a bunch by Croxall in divine form)
2008-02-13 12:27:24
It's usually 1 goal to 4 shoots with my team so I don't think you should complain! :)

although today my boys scored 4 goals from 12 shots...
bring on Rd2, not that many surprises today...

12 from 44 here. Bit of a shame, I was going at a shot per minute early on. [:p]
Oh well, could've been worse *cough* FCM Tigers *cough*. Cowan should be sacked!

I also picked up a 17 day injury to my newest recruit (been at the club 4 days).

sigh.... 5 from 26, have yet to see the match, but i'll bet i'll be fuming at some of those misses.
also, 1-for-1 for them, from a free kick no less....
2008-02-13 23:56:42
lol I deserved that.. :p

copping a goal in round 1 is criminal!

good thing about the cup and A-league now is that its pretty open and a number of teams have the capacity to win it.

I expect one more season of indifference before the team bounces back. Fwds are looking positively delectable.
