Ladies and Gentlemen (I guess there arent that many ladies but anyway...) let me introduce you to the 1st Australian State Cup list of fixtures and set of rules!

Note: Teams on the left belong to the same State and vice versa.


Rules
- Each game/round will take place on wednesday during the weekly friendly slot. May I remind the teams taking part in the State Cup to not book friendlies between Wk8 and Wk14 with others teams than the one in the list of fixtures provided above.
- Each game to be played following the League system regulation (no cup system!)
- Each game to be played at the biggest venue of the two meeting teams to maximise revenue.
- Point system as following:
each single game: win=3pts, draw=1pt, loss=0pt
The State with the highest amount of point wins the direct encounter and will score 3pts towards the overall state classifications, if two states are level on point during their meeting they will score 1pt each. Individual pts will be counted as goals while goals themselves will be counted as the third ranking criteria
eg: after round2, the standing could look like:
1st NSW 6pts; 2W 0D 0L; 6iW-4iD-0iL; 23GF 5GA +18
2nd WA 6pts; 2W 0D 0L; 5iW-5iD-0iL; 37GF 12GA +25
etc etc... ("i" standing for individual)
- The state finishing 5th after the round Robin is out of the competition after Week12.

The fixtures list have been designed so the A-League teams do not play each other before the elimination round.
Each A-League team (except one) will play 3 Div2 team and 1 Div3 team.
All Div2 teams will play 2 A-League teams (except one) during the round robin and a mix of Div2 and Div3 teams.
All Div3 team gets to play 1 A-League team during the round robin and a mix of Div2 and Div3 teams.

Due to the fact that we have 5 States competing, byes had to be introduced to satisfy the previous fixture design. (We're looking to improve on this next season with a probable "rest of the world oz forum user team").

wow pretty satisfied with the fixtures. Get to take on TG,Tong and TMP and then there's also DA's in amongst the mix as well. Come on ACT/TAS. Pretty solid team we've got as well :). Should be a good competition.

bring it matty and if i do lose meh i still own u in battrick:P we shall see who is the ultimate state

Think it will be between QLD,VIC and ACT/TAS for the top 3, and between NSW and WA for the final spot in the 4, but we shall see.

I guess we'll leave all the point calculations to you, I'll just focus getting my actual fixtures arranged ;)

oh... Chelsea was a D2 not so long ago :)

I couldnt make everybody happy but I'm pretty sure a lot of us are gonna play with the juniors at least until the elimination round...
it's just a bit of fun between us and it keep the money generated in Australia...

To add, most A league sides (and probably a lot of div 2 sides even) will play with their trainees anyway for training purposes and so really it's more of a benefit to play these teams as they have more supporters to bring to the table so you get more money you could say.
