if you can't beat promoted teams by now comfortably, after the seasons you've had in II.01, I'd be a little concerned. The auto-promoted teams don't look that dangerous, most have been up before and then went straight back down.

I see you in a similar spot as last season, you just need to bridge that gap between your side and the top 3 :).

@ Tong, Im with cometer, in that if you can't beat the promoting teams then I'd be worried, but I think you can do it. You are just stuck behind 3 quality teams, but ahead of the other teams, jsut trying to bridge that gap can be hard

My biggest problem is that my backline hasn't changed since I've been promoted into II.01... Four out of five still remain... (Webber, Bajron, Hay, Block)

My past record against Melbourne Victory FC last time they were in II.01 isn't great either - 0:0 and 1:1. But I do have a new front line :)

Ahh....10-0....bliss!!

Changed to a new tactic before the game, which was some concern having not trialled it, but looks like it paid off. We live to fight another day in II.01.

We lost 3-1...
We conceided 2 goals early and as we were getting one back we got one player sent-off...
The red card came as I felt we were having them on stamina...
Shame but lost to a better team on the day...

Their strinking force was too much to take and it is scaring with 4 very good def and 1 solid it is not enough to stop them slaloming at will... That shows a huge gap between D3 and D2 and a lot of money to have to get these kind of players... Apart from that I didnt feel we were being outplayed in other department...

Hopefully another season of training and market trading will see us better prepared next season... and fingers are double crossed I dont lose my GK on injury twice again...

Yes it can be very frustrating. I think after I promoted from DIV IV I was in the same DIII league for 4 seasons and it can become a bit ho-hum. I lost my first 2 qualifier games and when I did go up I went straight back down because I wasn't ready. Hopefully next season will be different, I'm hoping I can stay up and be more competitive in DII the 2nd time around.

When I saw the players you were selling earlier this season, I thought most of them were better than my 1st XI... so even if it would have been nice to go up I'm not sure I would have stayed up there very long...
it all depends on which league you end up though as II.2 looks well easy in comparison to others imo but it dosent prepare you well for the A-League I reckon...
