ouch, two injuries to krayzee's players, sorry mate.... seems like each team that plays against me gets injuries.... maybe they'll give me a walkover on purpose to prevent injuries :P
2008-04-16 12:24:09
I coped one too...
That's twice in two rounds my 10 trainees (with an old tactic I must revisit) are playing against a full strength squad...

I'm glad my partners are doing the job for QLD, well done Tollylunge for your win against Tribe!

Well, I gave it a big crack and my team did really well to hold Comets to just 11 shots. But it wasn't enough to hold on as they just had a little too much quality.

I was hoping to hold on for a point, but considering we were beaten in pretty much every contested ball, 2-1 is a very good result. Happy with that.

Yeah, glad I was able to get a chance to accept the match. Didn't want to leave you cold searching for a friendly. The tactic I've selected should kill most teams as they'll find it hard to break down the offensive defensive position. That gets the game down the end I wish to play but yeah it still needs a few tweaks, you were able to crack it on a few occasions and probably could have been a little unlucky not to score a 2nd goal. At the other end I was struggling to get into good shooting position due to your tight defense but the territorial advantage eventually created enough chances for Bowen to score twice.

Was a good game and a very good effort.

The 'Gunge got the early goal on us and we neither provided enough quality coming out of our midifield, nor capitalised on the chances we did make.

We finished playing 11 on 9 (two 'Gunge mids were sent off), but by then my pack of juniors were all crawling around the field begging to have a spell on the bench.
