Asunto: Sokker International Cup

Registration is now open for the Sokker International Cup. A 512 team straight knockout tournament. This is and will likely be the biggest international cup ever run in Sokker and we are looking for teams to take part in it.
1st Round games start 27th of July 2008 (Week 7) of next season but there will likely be places available until Week 8 starts for clubs still in their national cup. Depending on how many applicants, there is an unofficial limit of 50 clubs per nation.

This is going to clash with next year's State Cup...

It'll clash with the final. It depends on how many teams sign up but it's entirely possible that i'll be accepting teams for Week 8 to fill in any gaps.

I think you'll find Minkee is referring to the State Cup he is running this season. Not the Australia Cup which is the official Cup for Australia.

your tournament secure at least 1 game while ours at least 4 games before the play-off... there's a trade off there though :)

It's nice of you to take the lead about an international cup, I've seen you've been very active in getting a Champion's league tournament... maybe the devs will notice this time!

Not me matey, i dont like the champions league format. It's not workable in this game anyway, most of the champions are tied up with the cup for too long.

we did talk about it a few months ago... I thought we agreed it needed an extra match day and that was where it all went pear shapes...

Indeed, would have to offer me a fairly large incentive not to play the State Cup as that's where my loyalty lies whilst it runs ;).
