Courtesy of Vivski who has done some ground work (I guess he's feeling guilty for taking part to the international cup next season... ) Victoria has a new team in Sheffield Wednesday! Certainly an asset before going into the knock-out rounds!

Guess we end up going down 3-2 as a result of Bushrangers and DVS not scheduling a game. Bushrangers haven't logged on in over a week, DVS has so the chance is DVS would have accepted. Although could easily be deemed a draw if DVS didn't arrange any friendly either. Either way we'll finish top.

Surprised Tong was able to defeat me, even if I was fairly lazy with tactical decision making and stuck with the same tactic. 21 shots to 3 my way and I go down 2 - 0 :). Seems reasonable to me :D...

Should have played Bowen in centre instead of Alagich but that's life.

Chelsea.F.C (AL) 21-0 Losers (D2.1)

It's been quite some time since I spanked someone like that!!!

A lazy 12 goals to Gmoch in the first half was a highlight... he deserved a sub after that!

bring on the Vics next week that's all I'll say. Looks like I'll get a TMP rematch ;).
2008-05-07 12:04:39
Yes, I was surprised by the scoring success as well, 3 shots, 2 goals. (And the other hit the bar.)
2008-05-07 12:06:14
Ha. Maybe i shouldve played some of my first team...
2008-05-07 12:07:24
Was more impressed with how you were able to avoid my defenders tackles to get that first goal. Most sides have enough trouble as it is to avoid Itapalo tackles but your striker seemed to go alright until he obviously ran out of stamina in the second half.

The 2nd goal was as a result of tackling Bernardico, which is frustrating but understandable when he doesn't have massive technique but still has a fair bit.

Going to work out the rankings to confirm the ranking points of each team in this competition, to help Minkee out a bit for next week, going to start with ACTAS and VIC sides I think.
2008-05-07 12:34:36
Yes - I noticed that at the beginning as well, Itapolo seemed to be struggling for pace a little for the best defender in the A-league ;)

2008-05-07 12:37:27
doubt he's the best in the A-league, in fact I know he's not. He's up there though and is certainly my best.
2008-05-07 12:51:23
Haha yeah, Im not sure he was ever the best, but it's an interesting observation, must have somethng to o with marks otherwise im not sure how he got that rep, but nice one cometr ;)

Congrats to Krayzee for beating PRT to take the points for QLD.

Considering my young chargers were playing a team with a 170k higher average value, I am happy with the result. It played out as a game of keeping's off. I didn't want to go anywhere near Achmid's quality defs, nor did I want his slick strikers to touch it (which would almost certainly result in a goal).
Good fun and a funny game to watch as the ball went across the park more times than it went back and forth. [:p]
2008-05-07 13:12:41
he would have been close at the time I bought him, I'd imagine, but certainly hasn't been the best for some time.
