edited for language. The first one I'd still consider better than the second despite being slightly injured. Others might have other opinions though but that's what I'd do. Formidable is just too big a jump from good and that's not considering secondaries either.

with a lot less experience I would say the same!

Agreed. And he's got the best part of a week to recover before the game.

If you're concerned, have another player take the kick outs.

Penza is the kind of guy that tries to convince you that you have a reserve keeper when you actually don't.

Buquerin by a mile.

Buy a solid with more pace for peanuts. Or a 30yo+ keeper that nobody else wants that has VG or excellent keeper. Will cost you very little and Penza will stop stealing 3k a week from you.

This guy's been stealing 3k a week from me since the 12/12/2005 [:DD]
Henrique Aleixo , age 26
value: 119 200 AU$, wage: 2 880 AU$
tragic form

formidable stamina,
weak pace,
weak technique,
adequate passing,
average keeper
hopeless defender
unsatisfactory playmaker
poor striker

Played 4 official games in his career. I just can't really find the strength to sack him haha. Guess I've been pretty lucky that Neill is like never injured. Racked up about 150 games in a very short time.

Lol, why would you say that, Cloete? Kiss of death if I've ever seen one. [:p]

If Neill makes the end of the season without a 20+day injury, it will be a miracle. [lol]

Oh and it's probably best that you haven't sacked Aleixo because the day you do, Neill will pick up a knock.

3k of salary just for someone with stamina... you're the generous kind! I cant believe you didnt want your son in your team...

Hehe, that's why I bought a keeper who could also play in the outfield!

He's at least adequate in all his skills :P

If I can manage to go through a season and a half with 1 keeper I'm sure Cloete could have. Ironically, when naph commented about it at the time, I had to face Tribe and well Masi went down didn't he, still he was back next week. The next time I played Tribe Masi went down again but was able to stay on the field. Still I've got the cash if I need to but until I need to I'll keep rolling along with 1 keeper ;).

how can you get another player to take kick outs?
2008-05-03 13:53:30
well there's no 100% way to, but if you have your defenders nearest the inner goal box and a very slow keeper, the defender will take the kick instead. Think that's about the only way to have it happen. Problem is if not properly done, it opens up opposition strikers to get inside the penalty box for cheap shots.

I've never actually done it myself, but in theory this is how it should work...
- move the ball to the centre spot in the tactic editor (or leave it there),
- move a defender right to the bottom middle of the pitch,
- save, exit.

As Dave said, it will create a vulnerability when the ball comes through the middle as your defender will drop back. For that reason, it would be best to drop two back, one slightly left of centre, one slightly right.
But this is all experimental. It might not actually work. [:p]

You don't even need a slow keeper... Goal kicks take years to happen, everybody is in position by then.

In your tactic, just make sure that a defender is nearer than the goalie to the corner of the box where the kick is going to be taken from. (The pong should be in the centre.)
