Asunto: National Team

Byers is only a slight injury.. damn bot defender in friendly!
2007-03-17 09:30:31
Yeh, but slight one is making him weak, and if he gets injured again then it's about 25+ injury. :(

Didn't got any gun today so it could hardly be a good game.

*Hirons - injury
*Byers - injury
*Dreger - form
*Coveny - form[had to play someone though and he was the choice]

He needs a lot of passing training, though...he's not going to be 1st team player, rather the sub, when someone is injured.

Though he won't overtake Thompson, or Leijer, or even Willis...

Hm...now I have some time.

The draw would be more fair imo, Australia should've got one, especially in 42 after shots of Coveny and Vasilevski, and 73 when Storey got through 2 defs and was stopped by GK.

Israel got such a lucky goal! I couldn't believed that really happened!

I thought you promised me Wilkinson would play...

This is going to be a critical game to open the campaign to qualify for the world cup. A win this week against Ireland would be a perfect start and I shall be trying to obtain nothing worse than a win.

Ireland have always proven tough opposition for us with the record split 1 win , 1 draw and 1 loss each and the goal difference being equal between the two sides.

Ireland have the slightly lower winning % in qualification matches then we have but %'s mean absolutely nothing when it comes down to a new campaign.

Apart from Australia having more users the sides are very even in rank position and should be quite competitive on the weekend.

I'm looking forward to this match and I hope that the rest of you are as well. Feel free to send any advice/suggestions as I will listen although the final decision will be mine to make.

Well we're all ready to go. I'm hoping that we get off to a great start tomorrow.

The competition game for which the winners at the end select a player for the match later in the season shall begin shortly as well.

Unfortunately I won't be online during the game as by my calculation the match won't start til around 11pm AEDST. I'm hoping that we can get the win and get off to a good start as it makes qualifying easier if we win tonight.
