Amien score? I am willing to bet he has one of the worst rates this season of the real strikers. But what a game for him to make a name in good old Norge. :>

We have absolutely nothing to lose this week, we're 5 points clear of Ireland at the moment and so can't drop to 4th this week.

Remember that worst 3rd place from all groups won't go to World Cup!

Yeah, but we're ahead of that at this stage. I personally like to win every game but I take it week by week ;).

still, thats incredibly #3, i doubt cometer will ever get near that if he remains in 3.

We didn't get the result I was seeking which is disappointing. The strikers weren't forward enough as a result of them dropping defenders back which I didn't plan for in the tactic. That cost us a lot of chances on goal.

I thought other than that the game was fairly close with Norge having the stronger effect and walking away with the points.

The opening goal was a bit unlucky as our defender (Howarth or Pilic can't quite remember) fumbled allowing them to break the line and score off the rebound since defenders never help out a keeper in that position.

Norge probably deserved the win in the end but a few gambles didn't pay off for myself where as the gambles they took did.

We get a 2nd crack at them though in 2 weeks so we'll try and win that one.

Ever thought about using Croxall? He has some special abilities...which are very handy :)

Also NO player is useful when his form is lower than excellent...so I think you should give a short break for Zdrilic...

I have thought about Croxall. I stuck with my big guns in Hrehoresin and Amien in the hope that one of them would score a goal which didn't happen. Will certainly be thinking hard for the return leg in a fortnight. We really need a point minimum from that.

As for Zdrilic, his form must have dropped during the update today or yesterday which I didn't notice surprisingly.

I wish Newhill would hurry up and get into form though, we could really use him. :(

bad luck cometer but we all knew that game wasn't an easy one.

Cheers. I tried my best not anticipating them to totally restructure their defense line and unfortunately we didn't get the luck I was hoping for.

On the positive side, at least the game was competitive and we were in the game right up until that 2nd goal was scored.

I thought we were unlucky not to score and have to agree that the first Norge goal was a bit fortunate for them. Still when you have a pair of 60 rating forwards you have to expect the odd moment of brilliance.

They definitely looked to finish the stronger in the last 20 minutes. Probably the only other comment I have is I didn't like the side throw-ins that went to Widera, whilst unfortunate that their tactic covered him so well we did look pretty exposed whenever it happened.

Bad luck though Cometer, looked like we were going to walk away with a 0-0 draw for 2/3rds of the game.
