Well final game commences in just under an hour. Basically the situation is as follows. We can't miss out on the world cup so if we lose, we're in the 4th basket for the draw of the world cup. We win and we then require 2 sides out of NZ,Brazil and Colombia to drop points, although Brazil would need to lose for us to jump them. If this happens we get into the 3rd basket, otherwise we're still in the 4th basket.

So although there's a slim chance of making the 3rd basket, we're likely to end up in the 4th and hopefully we don't draw a nasty group.

Should be an interesting game against Ireland today.

was exactly why I said slim :p. If we somehow won by a significant amount more than you lot we could jump you on goal difference I believe but that's only in theory, in practice we both know thats pretty much impossible :p.

Australia wins 1-0. their offside trap was quite effective, preventing us from scoring more. and ther was some good goalkeeping from the aussie goalkeeper as well.

Yeah, but it wasn't really a massive offside trap in itself, I just happened to make it that way by placing strikers further up the field then I should have. We got away with that one, but you can always rely on Augerinos to pull something from nowhere :).

I definitely think they were unlucky to not convert 1 or 2 of their chances.

I thought the strikers were positioned fine, but maybe could've played Baveas a little further up the pitch to draw the defenders.
