Cold has been pretty bad lately I hear :p

I think he's trying to hint to me to say something about the fact he did some scouting of Colombia and advised me to defend centrally, which I followed and we also discussed certain features of the tactic I ended up with so I appreciate the time spent on that.

Better get that cough checked out though :p.

I also gagged when he missed that earlier 1 on 1. All the headers too!! Glad Byers got his hattrick though =p

A great win, nice tactic too. Thought the Columbian defenders were a bit nutty, half the time they're deep in defense, the other half they're doing a mega offside trap, pretty crap idea from the manager i think.

I have set the lineup for Sunday morning, the tactic will likely change tomorrow morning though. We have a very late or very early, whatever you prefer to call it, match against Republica Dominicana. I won't be going easy on them as I am fully aware we don't have a great chance of knocking too many sides over with huge scorelines as our group is rather difficult, so we're going to have to win these 4 games against Republica Dominicana and Bulgaria by as much as possible.

Things will get a lot smoother from now on as I have just finished my exams and will now start working on improving how things have been operating the past two weeks.

Expect to see a few things over the next few days which I haven't done before, but have intended to try them out this season and see what people think.

Ok fixture list complete, it has been updated throughout the week but is now complete and can be seen either on page 155 in this thread, or for easier access it's displayed on our NT page. Thus we're all set for the season.

I can't believe I'm still awake here. 20 minutes more to wait before our game kicks off. Everything should run smoothly tonight, I don't expect to be challenged as strongly as last week but there have been some surprises this week, with Hong Kong drawing with Russia, and Scotland drawing with Israel.

Mexico knocked off Bulgaria earlier, so if we win by 4 goals or more we'll be sitting at the top of our group after 2 rounds.

Anyone that is online for this atm, doubt there will be too many due to the time, hope you enjoy the match and those of you who are too busy sleeping enjoy the game when you next come online.

Hehe, it certainly was a game dominated by Byers. Could have been more than it was but it was a result, and was a reasonably good result as well. We're now top of Group D after 2 rounds.

This isn't good though, Barhilo has all 10 of our Australian goals.... :p. Suppose whilst we keep scoring it doesn't matter who ;).

Nice win mate. I'm glad you finally decided to go with the 3 strikers, up the middle tactic. I believe it was best for what they did/thought they were going to do.

Also with such a big win, that should lift our rating up a little which is definitely good.

Great use of width without having a dedicated winger. Plenty of great balls still came in off the wings.

Good to see the likes of Augerinos, Dreger and Croxall all able to use some of their passing skills to provide opportunities to the wrecking ball that was Byers on the day.

I basically had the impression they'd try to make a tactic that blocked our previous one, so I figured they'd go at least one player to protect the wings and they did which made me look for other measures.

My favourite play had to be the 74th minute goal when byers hit the post from a virtual un-missable shot and it rebounded back to Nohra who slammed in a cross and Byers headed it home. Thought that was just classic.
