Asunto: National Team

Divine players are for weak teams, as I have said before :P.

The match against South Africa tomorrow will involve our 2nd XI players. In other words, those players which aren't quite at the top level but aren't too far away from it. So some managers will get to have their players represent the national team, although I think at this stage most already would have.

Josh is leaving my team, though to my friend so he will get his training in good way. :)

Very difficult position I'm in at the moment. Good thing it's not a qualifying match, because watching previous NT matches is currently unavailable and has been most of the week. Same goes for them and everyone else, so it now comes down to looking at their tactic screen. So it could be a very interesting game tonight. We'll see what I come up with. Suggestions welcome. Looks like they're going to go in with a 4-4-2 approach but that could easily be a 4-1-3-2 or a 4-3-1w-2 which have been used previously and wouldn't really surprise me if they decided to go down that path again.

I'd suggest to just go all out attack... i beat them last season with Malaysia!

I've decided what I'm going to try to defeat them with. Mainly came about from the players strength and a little bit of influence from what I've noticed from the small amount of information I had available. Time will tell whether this was the right decision or not, think it will be for more reasons then just this particular match.

Result didn't go down that well, although I still believe we had so many chances we should have taken but didn't. 2 - 2 draw in the end, thought Burns had enough to take care of the winger if they played it hence why I didn't place any wingback but Burns didn't deliver the performance I was hoping probably due to their winger's skills, although Terminello quite often got the winger which is rather strange. Thought the penalty was rather soft. Wilkinson had a game to quickly forget as he didn't contribute nearly as much as I had hoped for this game, whilst as soon as Leijer came on it, we looked far more dangerous. Strikers bombed a large number of chances although that was fortunately returned with last minute defensive scramble efforts to prevent South Africa from a shot on goal.

Were a few times where I was asking myself why they were passing to certain people, particularly from the corner in the 2nd half Pondeljak took and turned over possession in a place we really should have been hammering into the box.

Still there were some good plays, although the constant bombardment for no reward in the 2nd half was rather frustrating.

Uhm...no, not at all :D He is my best and favourite player, I have him for 8 seasons already. And he played already twice in NT..:))

What Borkos doesn't tell you is he has 50000 teams in SK, so he's always going to win that sort of election ;)
