didnt we get to the world cup like last season?

Last season was the qualifying rounds for the World Cup Finals.

We've only made the Finals once.

are we into the new season already?

We're kind of between seasons at the moment. Player ages have updated, but we haven't received the bonus cash for end/start of season yet.

i wants my money so i can buy new players :(

btw, was is cometer who led us during the world cup?

cometer has been the NT Manager the last 3 seasons. Before that was borkos007 for two seasons and before him sriram for at least a season (I think two)... after that I start getting hazy.

Sriram defeated them in Australia's 2nd ever NT season and he's also the only person to take Australia to the World Cup!

You know that's not exactly true don't you?

Go back to last season and I think you'll find we made the world cup. We lost to Norge (despite arguably playing the better), Slovensko and Italia. Slovensko was pretty horrible given I didn't make a tactic until the saturday thinking I had loads of time, but then the server crashed for 7-9 hours and well yeah the rest was history there.

Australian NT history:

1st: Crazykicka (quit after the pasting my England side dished out)
2nd: Turnergang (got in with a few weeks left in the season)
3rd: Sriram (first of all with Borkos, later solo)
4th: Borkos
5th: Cometer

You don't need to fill me on every match and your excuse for every one ffs.

When you say with borkos, I think you'll find Sriram made an offer for Borkos to be his assistant.

Let's not get into that. The second ever elections I ran for didn't really set high standards for forum atmosphere.

what's up for tomorrow?

U21 match against Lietuva this week. Have been a bit busy past few days so I hadn't spoken much about it to you lot. That should have a few debutants for this game :).

Well things are sorted out. Lots of discussion between Achmid and myself, probably close on a 2 hour discussion of just player selection and that's not counting the time spent on discussing tactics.

I'm a bit 50-50 on this one, as opposed to usually being 100% behind the tactic. I'm really not sure how this is going to end up but Achmid was fairly convinced it was the best approach given the situation, so it could be interesting.

Lietuva have a really strong U21 side, just need to watch their U20 match against Eesti to understand we're going to be up against it.

A new look side with the majority of first timers makes up our side.

Don't ever expect to beat Lietuva, they have always proven to be too strong but we'll give it our best shot.

End of the day, the worst that should happen is a loss and we move on to next week.
