yeah well I didn't actually make my final decision on the tactic until late last night, well early this morning for most. Just noticed that cambrant usually went in with a back 4 and 2 dm's or a back 5 like what happened today, so I knew if I could get Willis right and the strikers in the right areas, we'd be able to breach that strong defensive line.

Willis for 10 assists next game? :p.

ok just letting everyone know that minimum requirements and age rankings will be done/updated by Monday at the latest (unless exceptional circumstances arise).

*Edit, just realized Sunday is tomorrow, I'm still thinking it's Friday for some reason, so I just changed it to Monday*

Might as well include whilst I'm here, that match previews shall return, thinking of a competition structure as well, so things are happening ;).

big mistake in first island goal,defence line was very bad in the throw in tactic,it was a very big hole in the centre of the defence.

In my honest opinion,you should study better throw in positions, i saw island strikers always alone into the australian area,it was very dangerous.

anyway,good victory!!congrats..i hope you accept my advice.

Yep, tell me about it, I've already stated that I shifted things across a bit overkill. You could almost watch all my past matches and the defense has been pretty good, so this was just one of those days where i went a bit overkill. That was also caused by the DM not retreating to cover the gap in time, also hard to judge via the tactical editor, as it looked fine there.

Throws were fine in general, except for near the 2nd bottom rows where our players were one click and drag too deep. For the record, I do study throw ins when observing how one plays. You can do all the observations in the world but if they suddenly change to where yours aren't, well it results in the same effect, so bad days do happen, so saying I should study better is a bit harsh considering the majority of matches my throw in structure works really well :p.

I always accept advice, it's one thing I really enjoy is feedback, so long as its constructive feedback and I can learn something from it ;).

I also like to state my opinion back on some of the issues that happen, to explain why things didn't execute as nicely as others, like this post is doing. This isn't an attack either, just always try to make sure people can see it from my perspective as well.

about Island first goal,for me Australian defence line was very bad , you can see from yourself the big hole that you made in the centre of the defence:

Off course , it happen very often the positions of the players in throw in change respect previous match,it depends from the manager if he modifies the tactics or not , however this time you made a big mistake anyway,because you leave a big hole into area, and in fact you get a goal from it.

i saw many times island strikers alone into Australian Area..but ok, i don't know if cambrant changed their positions respect previous match,i should watch it..but not now..

Anyway,i was NT Coach in other countries and i had some foreign users that always attack me with no-sense argue...i will not do it!i promise.

I'll always watch Australian Matches and i'll try to give you advice,not big critics..i don't want to be against you..just show my opinions and discuss with australian users our point of view,i think that everybody could learn from it.

Fun match. :) I'm sure you'll fix that little hole in the defense.

I found the Australia corners interesting. The 3 strikers took this stance:

Whenever I try that X gets the ball and fires it right into the rump of Z. But I thought it worked out fairly well today. I may have to revisit the concept. :)
