Which position you have to reach to get the second Seed?
(editado)
2008-04-22 17:36:17
My guess would be 28

Portugal and Norge chose to join the U21 WC and they're both in a group where they're the third force, so I think you'll earn points on them.
The main dangers come from Serbija and Colombia: are you going to challenge them in a killing match??

haven't at this stage. Instead we're just going to keep picking off points and see where we end up. If there are 14 groups then 28 will be the cutoff for the 2nd seed, if there are 15 then 30 will be the cutoff although I'd suspect it's more likely to be 14 groups then 15 groups.

Just found a player on the TL
Not strong enough for first XI in the NT, but may possibly get a game one day in a special match (especially if he goes to a pace trainer)

Jade Leijh, age: 23
value: 628 800 AU$, wage: 6 880 AU$
club: Melbourne Magpies, country: Australia
very good form, good tactical discipline

formidable stamina, tragic keeper
excellent pace, magical defender
good technique, weak playmaker
weak passing, poor striker

yeah needs more pace and pm really, but certainly not too bad a player.

Well we're taking on Russia today. Shouldn't cause us too many concerns really, they have usually played one of two tactics this season both use a winger. They seem to select their tactic based primarily on what the opposition last played and seem to be happy to take the assumption teams will play something of the same sort back at them so that they get to block a lot of what the opponent has positioned. With this in mind it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they tried to defend heavily against us and use a winger to generate their chances. The question then becomes how strong is their winger. From their U21 games recently their winger didn't cause too much problems but then again it is only an U21 winger.

Regardless of strength I'm sure they'll play a winger if their tactical decision making is consistent with the rest of this season.

There are other characteristics they use but I won't go into too much detail on them at this stage but I'm sure if you watched their matches you'd pick up on some of them as well.

Ultimately looking for around a 3 goal win again. Would be fairly disappointed if we weren't able to win this one.

Might add it appears their U21 winger is also their 1st XI winger and by marks seems to be a reasonable winger. Then you compare that with Isaev whose stats are visible as he's being advertised and you can kind of get a feeling for where their midfield sit. On second looks it doesn't look too bad, just they seem to lack a bit of completeness in that Isaev lacks tech and pace where as one of their strikers who's also listed lacks striking and pace. Could be an interesting match though, might just tweak a few things.

lol, cant help but notice how similar the tactics are...

and lol at nikas bombarding up the flanks like a true full back :P

and they just lost their CM. sucks to be them :P
2008-04-26 10:24:45
wtf....

a 1-1 draw, against 10 men for 70 minutes, and 9 for the final 10 minutes?

this sucks :(

hats off to russia for some outstanding defending there, and a huge portion of good luck...

timpano would've had a real beauty, had byers not tried to be greedy and steal it for himself

huge portion of good luck...

:)) do you think that when CM got red card in 7tn minute and after that we had a hole on our flank... We lost ball control ability in field centre... I don't think that huge portion of good luck ;) I agree that it was cocktail of good and bad luck ;)

the red cards were just what you deserved. Sorry, until you know the skill levels of the players you fouled tackling them from behind will more times then not result in a red card. You had tremendous luck, no two ways about it. You DID NOT and I mean DID NOT deserve a point from the game. Yes you got a point but there was no way that should have happened. The amount of shots we completely butchered I can't put a finger too it but that's the breaks sometimes.

Thanks for the game, but I can't see how you deserved to walk away with something from that.

*Edit* The only real bad luck you had was the first red, other than that your first goal was a fraction fortunate due to one of our defenders sliding back behind the line allowing your player to just remain onside.

End of the day it's just another game but I wasn't happy with the result.

Ok we're taking on Crna Gora this week. We're using our U21's so it gives myself a bit of practice ahead of the next game against India as well as give some other players a chance at fame. Most have played before.

Crna Gora seem to always play the default "Normal" tactic. Has made things significantly easier if they decide to play that again, should give our strikers a night to remember, for good or for bad.

They only have the 12 users and from what I've seen they're not really that active and are perhaps fortunate to have a NT as they've just got enough users.

I don't expect from what I've seen them to come even close to causing problems against our U21 side but when I saw the ranking points they had and knew they hadn't arranged a game, I then saw a chance to gain some ranking points and asked for the friendly against our U21's to make it slightly fairer.

Most of their games they have been pretty much slaughtered, so it could be a game to watch if you like lots of shots.

Other than that, get your tips in for the competition and I hope you enjoy the game.

Lol, Maras is officially sacked from taking penalties. Stephenson carved up when he came on to exploit their fatigued players.

5 assists to Plesa and 4 to Gardiner I think, or was it the other way around, either way we ended up winning 15 - 0.

Might add I believe that's our highest ever win of any match and we did it with a bunch of U21's.

48 shots on goal to 1, we butchered so many it could have ended in a cricket score if it didn't anyway.

Pretty happy, but also pretty realistic in that Crna Gora aren't particularly very strong.
2008-05-03 10:21:47
lol, you'd think maras would learn how to not hit the woodwork/team mates after the first few times, and the same with kearton firing it no where near the goal.

gardiner to stephenson to goal in the 66th minute was absolutely magical

stephenson's goal in the 75th minute was pretty lol

and stephenson (again) scored from what, a 5 degree angle in the 88th minute? he got a little cocky after that and tried to do a beckham :P
2008-05-03 10:57:26
4 assists for Gardiner :)
I hope He'll become a column of this NT :P
