Hi, I want to ask you, I don't know if it already is here, many new posts since I was here last time (many work, no net) but what now with you and national team? Will you continue? When socceroos woon't play WC it's dissapointing, do you have enouhg will and support to continue?

Not having a logo at the moment and watched the Holy Grail again lately so...:)

And I'm not playing in Ekstraklasa because it's uberweak to play there!

I think that there is full support because cometer done really well in the quals :)

I am ready to step up. I had a very solid 5th place is III.12. I also have a whole season's experience. ;)

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing who is going to apply for the NT job, whether there are any Aussies going for it, or whether we get someone experienced from overseas

Wonder if any australian going to run for office? Or this time gonna be foreigner selection?

Still pretty early in the election period yet, one thing is certain though, I'll never hand the job over unless I feel there's a candidate that can keep and improve on what we've accomplished over the past few seasons. World cup qualifying is a bit deceptive in that we've been stuck with strong groups and have fallen short at the final hurdle each time the past 2 campaigns.

A bit surprised that no one has put their hand up of the aussies. Not even some newbies! We're stuck with other countries newbies ;-)

You may want to nominate then. Otherwise we may end up with a "one for Martin, two for Martin" scenario. :p

Having a strong think of things atm about what I'd try to do, what my aims would be, what's likely to creep up and whether that's going to disrupt what's best for the NT etc so that's actually the reason I haven't come to a definite decision. Whatever I end up deciding will be for what I believe the best for the NT and users is, at this stage I'm likely going to go around again unless people are sick to death of having myself as manager and want a new face ;).

I'll have one pretty shortly though, can't have wasted votes going to Martin of all people :p.

I have a feeling that the active users in this country all want the NT to do well, which is a pretty obvious and dumb thing to say I admit, but I think we could all do a little bit more than just showing our support.

I dont think anyone in our community can match the level of commitment and enthousiasm that Cometer shows for the NT and Sokker Oz in general. Each seasons no-one else steps up to the task so in my eyes unless the community decides to go for a foreign manager I cant see why we should not vote for Cometer again.

But I'm just going to throw an idea there to see if the people concerned by it are happy to discuss the feasability of it.
I think with the interest present around the NT, these people could be involved helping Cometer. At the moment there is Achmid but I have a feeling there could be more assistants in the NT staff. Obviously it is something that Cometer has to approve but there has been time where clearly there was room for it.
If we look at what's done abroad in the top teams we could help Cometer to make the NT more efficient than it is in areas such as scouting oz players, scouting an opponent, discussing tactic with a broader panel, help the U21 or giving an head with whatever tipping/fantasy competition that will be in place to generate interest next season. Maybe we could even use the closed Australia Association to keep things between the NT staff...
In the end I think this would help Cometer focus on the important things and would also make the game more interesting for those who are wiling to help...

If there was enough interest in sharing and developing tactical knowledge in Australia I could probably put together a tactic emulator that would enable us to save and share tactics. It may well take me a while, but if I knew others were interested in it that would do wonders for my motivation to actually get it done.

Its a bit hazy as to how much the sokker devs approve of such a tool, so I dare say there wouldn't be much automation as far as being able to load and save tactics into and out of sokker itself. Even still I should be able to get it to a point where people could create a tactic in the emulator, save it and then be able to email it to other people with the emulator. So other users could look at it, make suggestions/alterations to the tactic etc, send it around again. At the moment I'd imagine it would still require the NT Manager to manually re-enter the tactic into Sokker.

So, is there any/enough interest from prospective NT Managers and the users/assistants for me to create such a tool?
