I see the ME hasn't changed at all. Their first goal was a magical 50 metre through ball played first touch by a defender. I wish there was more passing.

I was paying a close eye to the ME. Didn't seem all that different. The passing through the midfield was a bit more intelligent and no offsides. What I did pick up was a lot of "would-be-fumbles" turn rushed clearances. Only one real DEF fumble.

Was supremely impressed with Coveny's ability to keep out his opponent. Brilliant job son!! :D

was going to be Kohler but form difference I figured would be important, especially if we had a lack of defenders and so opted for Coveny.

Well that's what I wrote. At the end of tests it will look good. :)

ugh, they have a crazy keeper, saved 6 bloody shots on goal from ellem! he was never a distinguished header of the ball at DAU though.

on another note, any superdivine players in australia yet? ;)

LOL

as in regular skills :P

there's a small possibility for a few players, one in particular. We don't actually have that many divines in our squad currently.

Keepers are easy to get strong if they fall to a keeper trainer. Their keeper is no exception. I'm quite sure Ellem was somewhat surprised he had all these arial chances as he probably doesn't get them served on a platter like that at DAU :p.

Unfortunately Maras seemed a bit out of position. Even so, for all the chances he had, he didn't get off a single shot. Bit disappointing from him.
2009-01-03 16:28:33
what he usually gets are through passes to the edge of the box where he lets loose his trademark cannonball :)
2009-01-03 16:41:39
That's because of his form. :(

Ideally what I needed to do with the side is play defenders rather static to preserve their stamina but deep enough to prevent through balls. Then at the same time generate a little bit of width with Tarka and Rudnicki to send balls flying into the penalty box.

That's what I would have done on a larger time frame, along with pushing the strikers up more since Tigermaster doesn't play very often with a high defense.

Tarka and Rudnicki sound like children of Australian immigrants...;)
2009-01-03 16:49:42
australia's more or less made up of immigrants, what're you talking about? sooner or later we'll have asians and arabs in the NT too. just you wait!

forgot to add "...from Poland" ;)
